Very simple but clever ideas. What a super way to video the demo!

Beginner with products. Thank you for helping me understand the gradient issue. I have a giant strip box I used with full length dancers . I blocked it out on one side but I need to reverse the black flag material so that the white part of the box can touch the corner of the added on diffuser. Im going slowly with all of this and just figuring out a little at a time. These are great lessons. Glad I found you. Thank you so much! I hope the reopening (2020)is good for your business!

Nice tutorial. I like how you gave us three views at once and I could see the photos come up onscreen, that's a big help.

I agree with Mike Keller the 3 view aspect is very intuitive. Great procedure, to your tutorial, thank you.

I like how you show all the steps even when things go wrong and how to correct them. Some tutorials edit out the wrong steps and just show you 1, 2, 3... Perfect photo. Then you try to do it and you just get something wrong and no idea how to fix it. Thanks!!

Loving your understandable way of getting closer to the perfect gradiant!

the gradient is awesome! the mug could use some rim light and the gradient reflection could use some more distance to the edge, but thats just moving stuff around a bit, great tutorial!

If you need a small, extremely versatile and controllable light source for domestic product shots you can use a computer monitor! It's perfectly flat and the light is evenly distributed, you can even design your own patters and gradients as simpe JPEGs in photoshop and use em for creative effects!

I'm among the ones that didn't know about that angle between the softbox and the diffuser. And I had to spend too much time in PS trying to fix that poor gradient. Thanks for the free tip!

This video actually makes large softbox more verstail than stripbox. Because you can control how much width the strip of light you want to use. With 1 stripbox the width is fixed.
