Print gradients on 2 pieces of A2 acetate going from white, to clear, to black, and then you can go out and buy plain A2 sheets of any colour card, place the gradients on them, and you have a gradient in any colour. The acetate prints are relatively inexpensive £4, $5, €4.3, but if you take care of them then you can use them for years, and all you have to do is get a Pantone colour of what you are shooting, go to a paper supplier online, enter that number and they'll have perfectly matching coloured card with you in a couple of day for pennies.

Amazing, and for the second look it is more natural to the eye to have the bright on the side graduating to dark to the front so the sides of the product will be in separation from the bg.and the transition in the front is smooth and not a cutoff straight black line like the first setup. Brilliant...!

Also on the mark 11:39 when you raised the camera and looked down on the product it DID NOT show the reflection that puzzled you which was by the way always there . It only showed when the camera was low shooting horizontally likely reflecting the top edges of the two side gradient cards converging in like V shape, amazing how the reflections play with curved mirror like surfaces, it is as if you are shooting with wide zoom up converging the sky scrapers in..
