Agreed! Recreating posters in Photoshop forces me to learn new tricks. Until just this year I had no real use of the Hard Mix blend mode and yet it was the key to unlocking this graphic look-which I had been struggling with. I could do it with filters, but they all required a flattened layer or smart object, and I wanted a method that allowed me to still work in my layer stack. I actually learned a lot myself putting this one together.

Wonderful! I've always wanted to know how to do a halftone effect - but when I follow along with what you do, I end up without dots as much as dotted lines in a grid. A few looked right in the highlights, which leads me to believe I'm doing something wrong with curves or blending. Any suggestions? Thank you again for all these excellent tutorials!!
