I loved this thank you for sharing. I am a convert and have been gobbling up anything Traditional Catholic for 20 years, yet a rule of life flew under my radar for a long time. I thought it was a certain way religious orders lived so I never read about it. I wish I had known all this years ago since I’ve always struggled with discipline in certain areas, but better late than never. You explained it all very clearly. 😊💗

When I hear someone refer to Father Ripperger, I subscribe! Such a great point, that we should schedule our lives around our prayer, not scheduling our prayer around our lives.

Such a great video and channel! I am also creating my daily prayer and life routine, sadly it does not always work but I am keeping on keeping on. Thanks a lot for your content and effort, it is great! P. S. I just wanted to add that from my years of being Catholic I have been greatly touched by the Sacrament of Confession and try to go as often as I need/as possible. It is truly a real encounter with Jesus and may be even stronger than egsorcisms. God bless xxxx

How have you modified your rule of life now that your little one is here? I’ve tried to read Holly Pierlot’s book a few times (and implement it) but get overwhelmed each time - I’ve had other friends say the same thing.

That’s such a great question (maybe I’ll make a follow up video haha). Mostly, I have had more mercy on myself when I miss one of my designated prayer times. My Rule of Life now includes the aspect of caring for a tiny baby. But my daily routine goals have stayed mostly the same-I really try to get a morning prayer, Angelus at noon, litany of humility in the afternoon sometime, and evening/nighttime prayer; I don’t always get to it and that’s okay. By loving on Abigail and meeting her needs, I’m fulfilling what God is calling me to do and obeying Him in that way. ❤️ One specific thing I’ve changed is trying to read the Bible in the morning when I’m very well rested. This is mostly because I can’t fall asleep during the day while I’m caring for my baby (unless she’s asleep of course) and reading The Bible reeeeeally makes me sleepy when I’m already sleep deprived. When I’m overwhelmed by all of the ways I want to be praying to God, I remind myself that a simple conversation with Him while I’m comforting a screaming baby pleases Him so much! A simple “Jesus, I trust in you” is so powerful in those times when I don’t have two hands to pick up the Bible or need to stay awake but a rosary would put me to sleep. I hope this helps!!

Works of the flesh. What you pray for. Read Isaiah 40v13. Our hearts are deceitful Jeremiah 17v9.
