I personally preferred the previous one, because it was so different from all those other tutorial-channels. Not so fast and flashy but a bit more down to earth, as we dutch people are (well, mostly..). Not that the new one is bad though. It looks cool. I just liked the old one more.

That was another “glued to the screen” tutorial. Your presentation was so professional and easy to follow. I love that cool new modern looking logo. As always you are teaching us new and exciting ways to do photo manipulation. Thank you, Rensi.

Cool video. Learned a few tricks again, especially in the character dialog. I noticed something though. There was no need to make the left half layer.

I'm enjoying your videos. Keep them coming! Question: I'm stuck on one part of this. When I attempt to nest the text layer under the background image, the font is remaining solid and not translucent. I have no idea what I'm doing incorrectly.
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gadget Guru! Make sure to clip the text to the right side of the layer thumbnail (not to the bottom-right of the layer). However, Ram M. suggested to clip the background to the text layer instead. Haven’t tried it yet, but it should make things easier to adjust later on. Hope this helps!

Love your videos. Just a question, wouldn't it be better to snap the left pixel layer below the text instead? It'd be easier to edit the text, if needed. Just need to hide the pixel layer. The way you did it, there's no way to edit (e.g. typos... etc) the text without unsnapping the the text out.
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
That does make total sense indeed! Sometimes I'm still messing up the workflow just like in this case haha.. Glad you shared this feedback. Thanks!

Hi Rens, In case of the frame text tool I am not able to follow you. The font (same Impact) size 380 is huge in my case. Or have I done something wrong?
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Hey Rady! This probably has to do with your document size. If you'd use the same document size as I do, the effect should be the exact same. Hope this helps! 🤙🏽

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed! I'm using the Huion Inspiroy Dial Q620M (amzn.to/3uXPe0N) and I'm very very satisfied with it - especially because of the dial! It allows very quick brush size changing. I will consider making a review video about it. Just for clarity: the link I shared is an affiliate link meaning that as an Amazon Partner I will get a kickback when you make any purchase through this link at no extra cost for you! But please don't feel obliged to use it :)

Hello. I opened a psd file which contains text layers in Affinity. Now I can not edit the text. I can not change text font style. It is a pixel layer. Pleade what can I do?
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Once it's a pixel layer, as far as I know you can't convert it back into a text layer. What I would do is create a new text layer, type out the text (and figure out the right font and settings to make it look as similar as possible) and delete the pixel layer text! Hope this helps :)

@@IAMRENSI Thanks Rensi. I found it. I went edit-preferences-general-import smart objects and it works perfect now.
