Left Adobe about 2 months ago and bought Affinity

No one leaves Adobe, we just pirate them even harder! You can''t tell me that Affinity is an a good alternative for a professional. There are tons of artboard solutions, that doesn't even exist in Affinity. I tried, but the experiance was awful. If you are a person over 50 yo, and your main job is to print t-shirts, yeah, go with affinity. But if you produce houndred of images per day (sometimes like today, thousand slightly different ones), you need to use Adobe. I am proudly pirating their software, and I even mail them about it, just so they know what they are doing!

My unrelated question being: How did you get the brush panel underneath your layers panel? I'm new to Affinity and mine is still showing a second lion image at the bottom right of the screen. lol

I bought Affinty v1 during Covid lockdown. Bought v2 universal license as soon as it was released. I just want android support. Please please please. Support Samsung and Google and make the rest deal with quirks. I love the iPad affinity apps but hate iPad.

Affinity is great and have better value but doesn’t support arabic or farsi for text and is a deal breaker for lots of customers and my self I have affinity on ipad and is fantastic but disappoint in text support

I did my work, I saved 4 youtube pages regarding that matter and more on int/arc. You kn wt I mean ;-) Do yours and also save this clips somewhere safe.

5:02 Question. How do you know they won't do something similar or close to adobe or other big giant do today? This is a proof of concept. When you have monopoly, you can do things that you can't do before. Business is business. Like VPNs. Why should I believe what they say? It's just their word and power of marketing that makes people do that because of some content can't be viewed in some places. What if this was intended to be? Who da faqs knows. i don't want to go in that spiral. All I know are that my content I want to be private and do not want to be concerned about me or my clients to be worried about simple content to be stolen. By who? Again, who da faq knows. Adobe and all other stock companies forces you to give them release models, contracts and all other mf things. Which are right until some point. People have rights. But, no no no. When it comes from their sides, they don't need forms, they just have hidden gems which you agree when you... PAY!? lol, That's the funniest part. They make you sign a contract, you pay them and then they say that you signed the contract that had that written there, but they took your money even if you were reading all those hundreds of pages and also not understanding the lawyers world. Also, unilateral changes can't be made. Period. Also, they can't force you to not using their programs if you don't accept their new conditions. You paid for some conditions not for new ones. They should let you terminate your current contract then tell you exactly, but exactly what they changed, word by word, not references. And so on... right? But, we live in a different world. So, we should assume that we'll get frecked at some point. Assume that and you'll know what you have to do!

I really wish they would make Linux versions of the Affinity suite, because I don't just want to leave Adobe, I want to leave Apple and Microsoft too.

Now let's hope employers and clients finally recognize that you don't need Adobe to be eligible for a job... it will take a while, for different reasons, but it will eventually happen

Wow... My student license for Adobe Creative Cloud expired in June this year. I bought Individual License for Affinity programmes, but I wasn't aware that it is common 😅

I used to be a graphic designer (and changed my career path), and Adobe had been fucking with graphic designers from day one. Every single designer, every single one, uses Adobe's software but HATE the company. Their subscription based only system they forced approximately 10 years ago or so, was a huge treason towards the people who already had to deal with that shit, and paying thousands of euros to work. And in the same time the improvements between versions were slim. The thing is that 15 to 20 years ago, only professionals and very serious amateurs used Adobe's products. Today way more people are using these editing tools on a daily basis, and the shitstorm is more mainstream, hence more massive. 100% deserved. This company is only buying patents and other companies (Remember Macromedia?) and scam their customer using monopoly. I won't shed a single tear. I bought Affinity Suite day one, because I still create on my free time, and wanted to support a viable alternative (even though freewares improved drastically in that time span). And also to give the middle finger to Adobe. Every single competitor, despite having some missing features here and there, are rapidly improving and updating theit software. Nice. I just hope that Canva buying Affinity is not a death trap.

I dumped the crooked Adobe cons.... Switched to Affinity several years ago. Never looked back!!

Would be nice if Affinity made a native version for Linux of all their apps...
