I added 1/2 inch to each front piece, do I then add 1 inch to my sleeve to fit that difference?

Use fusible interfacing when piecing your pattern pieces and you can iron the pattern latter if needed--scotch tape will melt and make a mess if you ever have to iron the pattern.

I'm not the expert, but I believe you match the shoulder seam with the middle of your shoulder, and edge it to your shoulder keeping pattern vertical.
