Why Mid Journey on Discord?
Every time you generate an image on the common Mid Journey Discord server, it's displayed for all members to see. While this offers a space for sharing and collaboration, it might not suit those looking for a bit more privacy. 😌
Setting Up Your Private Server
Starting is as simple as:
Clicking on the plus icon on your Discord.
Selecting "Create My Own" for creating a server.
Naming it (I've called mine 'Mid Journey') and adding an image if desired.
Voila! 🎉 You have your own server which others cannot access unless invited. But remember, if you're using a free Mid Journey account, the images you generate might still be visible on the Mid Journey website. For absolute privacy, consider upgrading to a paid subscription.
Inviting the Mid Journey Bot
To get the most out of your new server, you'll want to invite the Mid Journey bot. Here’s how:
Go to the Mid Journey server.
Find the Mid Journey bot name inside a newbie channel.
Click on 'Add to Server' and select your newly created server.
Alternatively, you can search for the Mid Journey bot in the app directory of your server and follow the same steps. 🔄
Organizing Your Channels for a Streamlined Experience
Your new server isn’t limited to just one channel. By clicking on the plus icon, you can create multiple channels such as 'cartoon images' or specific channels for different clients. When creating new channels in my private server, I am asked if I want to add the Midjourney Bot as a Role or as a Member (or skip). Do you have any recommendations? I want to keep my channels private. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this great information, I do have a question, I am getting the following "i don't have permission to view this channel. please enable the 'view channel' permission!" to generate images, after creating the server, did I missed a step?

i think you can't. It's only for new images. And if you want to see all your generations from different rooms in one place you can do it through midjourney webpage in your gallery (it looks like there is no other way to do it)
