Thanks, it turned out well. Since making this video the bottle has been through plenty of wear and tear, including getting a nice dent. I'm glad to report the paint didn't lift or crack. It's actually easier to achieve this finish on tubing like a bike frame or rifle. You can see an example of this in my bugout bike video.

Good luck, the same technique should work with larger branches. Practice is good though, especially so you don't get running paint.

Generally positive person here - however this looks like shit. You making a Christmas ornament? If you're going to cammo something (not that i'm trying to lose my water thermos) try using natural surroundings more natural surroundings like in your case green grass blades, tree bark, dirt, rock. If you're trying to blend in the forest, use forest, if you're trying to blend Realtree use cattail, millet, milo, corn stalks, sunflower, oak, maple leaves or something woodland. I do appreciate you putting some calming music over whatever your were mumbling.

sadly there isnt a cheap way to do the real tree effect. it has a lot of detail and this is more of a base coat which can be enhanced with multiple colors but still lacks a lot of detail. if you want legit higher end paint jobs either practice in the field you want to learn to do realistic the most or just pay someone to do it. but ya this is a cheap way but its not like a airbrushed version at all.

Hi, yes I can. It's a shame you didn't have the patience to watch past the opening slides because when I start explaining the music fades out. I dont't make these videos for commercial gain and therefore I don't spend the money on expensive gear for editing and filming so rather limited as to what can be achieved. It may be worth you visiting some professionally filmed tutorials. However, I'm not a tutor, I'd regard this more of a sharing of my technique

I really think it sucks! #1 you mumble too much, you need to speak out and as far as the paint work goes, well there is nothing there except a bunch of blotches with NO formality at all. a deer or a person would spot this right out of ANY place that you try to put it to Not be noticeable IT STICKS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB!!! Bruce Brooker the whole point of camo is to remove formality. What the bottle has is too much dark colour and not enough contrast.
