How to create a ResSim model

This video discusses the setup of a ResSim model. When beginning to learn how to develop a ResSim model, the setup of modules, alternatives, and simulations can be difficult. This video can help beginner ResSim modelers better understand the concepts and setup of ResSim.
1. The video begins by discussing the Watershed Setup module and the fact that models typically have one configuration and when multiple configurations in ResSim would be used.
2. The Reservoir Network module is discussed next. In the Reservoir Network module, the physical data and routing data in ResSim is entered.
3. Alternatives in ResSim are then discussed. Within the alternative, operations sets, time step (timestep), lookback, and time series data is entered. It is common to have multiple alternatives in ResSim since multiple operations sets are common.
4. Finally, the simulation module is discussed. Each simulation in ResSim contains an alternative or alternatives along with the date of the simulation. The date of the simulation includes the date of the lookback. Simulations can have multiple alternatives and this provides an easy way to compare the results of different reservoir operating methods.

Hello, how could we get the storage of elevation equalling to 0?

Are you asking if it is reasonable to have a zero in the elevation-storage table? If so, it would be reasonable if you are at a very low elevation where there is minimal or no storage. However, you could also start at zero storage at whatever your lowest elevation is. For example, you may start the bottom of the conservation pool at zero with appropriate storages from that point. ResSim would be ok with that. It just needs to know the true difference in storage between each elevation in the elevation-storage table.
