So glad I stumble on this video! Thank you so much Melissa for a great introduction to creating Satin finish on metal. I will apply this technique to my DIY Laguiole knife…👍

So glad to be one of those people who is currently taking one of your amazing classes! The amount of information you packed into the course is amazing. You have provided so much free content that has helped those of us develop our own skills that you should be focusing on activities that provide you compensation. I appreciate that you take the time to demonstrate how to use various new tools and products. Thanks for all you do!

Useful video thanks. Would you know the grit number for each of the satin nylon buffs?

No, sorry, they do not have any information like that on these accessories.

Thank you for a wonderful presentation! The pack comes in a cardboard package. What I is the source of your holder? Thanks for all you do while everyone deals with Covid.
@MelissaMuir4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve. I made the holder. People have been asking me to sell them. There is one component that I am trying to figure out how to make so it is economical time wise. If I can figure that out, I will sell them.

@@MelissaMuir Of course you made it!😂. If you decide to sell I’ll order at least 1. Appreciate the quick reply. Have a wonderful day!

I just mistakenly used 240 grit dark red to brush finish my watch, can I make it smoother with 300 grit grey one? Please note the complication as I need to brush it through same direction and not in cross direction how you have shown here.

Would this work for removing fire scale?

It depends on how deep it is. But yes, it would.

Do these fit in a regular rotary tool or do you need a foredoom?

They will fit any flexshaft handpiece that holds a 3/32” shank

Hi! And thank you for the informative video! I am getting tired of paying to have something done that I know I can easily do with the proper tools and knowledge! Quick question-so I currently have a couple motorized tools with attachments that they came with and I recently purchased mops like these at my local findings store but how to you make sure they all fit together or do you have to pick a brand and stick with it? What is the motorized tool you are using?- also I found the mop set on the website link but I can’t find the link to the tool itself-ty again

You were so good back then when you made a lot of jewels. Now it`s more about representing a shop (having something in return), So sorry because you are so skilled. Would love to see you again showing your skills as metalsmith.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry you haven’t been watching all of those videos. I still put out quite a few. And not all of those videos are offered for free. I can’t afford to always put everything out for free. No worries. There are more projects coming

You need to view more before you comment Melissa put out the best stone setting video on KZbin only a week or so ago, also most of the people such as Melissa who post this kind of video are also running a business it costs money to produce the video's and many hours of work. I do not mind sponsored segments so long as it does not become just another shopping channel.
@MelissaMuir4 жыл бұрын
@@pijnto thank you. You know, I have so many irons in the fire now that it is hard to get to these videos anymore. So it is nice that I have a few sponsors, and they aren’t all “paid” as the videos say. But even if I didn’t have sponsors, this was the same type of video I was doing before. 🤷♀️ And these are actually videos they have asked me to do for their sites and I have just posted them here also.

@MelissaMuir3 жыл бұрын
That depends on the stones. I would err on the side of caution and not use it around stones.
