What a fantastic first video for me to find in your channel. I love the visual representation to help conceptualization. I'm definitely going to check out more!

This tutorial was incredibly useful. We were not given great guidance on our SharePoint configuration from the Microsoft Partner. I really appreciate your work.

Thank you for the inspirational video. In my small organisation I have been moving away from the traditional folder structure to a flat structure for some time. All our projects use MS TEAMS as the main entry point to the underlying Sharepoint site. Since each channel within TEAMS leads to a folder, the final folder structure is not as flat as desired. I am curious to know what your view is on working with TEAMS in combination with Sharepoint libraries. I would appreciate it if you could explain this in a future video.

A great balance is a combination of flat and folder libraries. I recommend using the default Teams folders created for each channel and then adding flat libraries into those categories as needed. The goal is to avoid overcomplicating things with too many folders. Having the Team's Document library with subfolders per channel, organized in a flat folder structure, seems like a good balance. I debated adding this into the video but didn't want to overcomplicate it! I hope this helps 🤓

great! do you have videos that delve into tracking subtasks?
@officeskillswithamyАй бұрын
I am not sure of the context that you are referring to. Generally tasks are better handled in Planner. But Lists may work for you depending on your circumstances. (I have done a video on Planner vs Lists that could help with this). If you want to create subtasks for your documents, then a combination of lookup (I also have a video on this) and choice columns may work.

@@officeskillswithamy awesome! I hv watched your Lookup video. Awesome video! Instead of creating another list, I created a lookup column within the same list. However, I’m finding the list to be less efficient than I’d like. As we have to manually update the contents and metadata one by one. Is there a way to streamline this process? And do you know any third party apps that can integrate with MS Teams on messaging in conversation channels (not in 1:1 chats)?

Great video - so why does Teams encourage a folder structure with channels which totally contradicts how to use Sharepoint ?
