How to Create a Simple Composite in Photoshop

Today, we show you how to create an ethereal fantasy composite of jellyfish in a night sky. Learn to combine multiple images with Blending Modes and Layer Masks, and then bring a composite together with creative color toning and grain.

Please do more step by step tutorials like this! I learned so much and it really helps to learn things like masking when I can see the effect in context. Phlearn tutorials really are the best I've found for Photoshop. Aaron has a great way of explaining things and doesn't go too fast (a common complaint of KZbin tutorials).

question when imported my jelly fish its treating it like a smart object. so i have to unlink my mask when i go to distort and than repaint it if you over laps. not whining about but it didnt seem like you had to do that. so my question is am i importing it wrong or is there a convert i should do?
