Finally a non-blurry video that actually shows the mechanism of a slip-stitch. Now I can sew my necktie - thank you!

Thank you. I am a beginner at sewing and using my sewing machine. I’m practicing by creating scrunchies right now and I really wanted to close them properly. Really appreciate your guidance!

Thank you so much for this. I'm still a beginner but, details such as this are very important for a smooth finish. This will help me with the future projects I have in mind. Thank you very much.

It's nice to see a left-handed video for once - no mental math to flip it for me!

Thank you so much! I've always heard about slip stitch and even watching the video didnt really help but I've known how to ladder stitch forever

Thank you! I questioned what the hand sewing equivalent of stitch in the ditch was, and was told patterns say to slip stitch. So I start looking around and the tutorials are all either what I know as a blind hem stitch or a ladder stitch! So apparently either of these stitches would work for that application.

Did you cut out all of the black thread that was visible at the very end? If you did, would that cause the pillow to unravel?

HOW DO YOU DO FIRST KNOT?????

Bob, I just wrap thread around finger, then roll it against my thumb, and pull tight.
@bobjones-hs5nc
@bobjones-hs5nc 4 жыл бұрын
@@JackDempseyNeedleArt When I do that, the lasoo only pulls one of the threads tight, leaving a messed up loose knott.

@@bobjones-hs5nc I takes a bit of practice. You could also just tie a couple overhand knots

@@JackDempseyNeedleArt My knot comes out messy, its not a neat blob. I'm using the wrap around needle method but its not as big a knot. I'm still using your technique to hide the end knot.
