I just have a file on my desktop and I press cmd tab to do to finder and then space bar to play Simple and less memory.

That's a great tip! I do that sometimes too- especially if I'm working in GarageBand

Good way to do it but having it in the session makes it easy to loop parts of it for A B comparisons.

Great idea for working with a reference track. 👍 to a review of that mic and other affordable gear, we can't all put the money down for a Neumann U87 😀

I’d love to see a review on the Samson mic. It looks similar to the Shure SM7 and I’d be interested to see how they compare in performance and price. Thanks for another great video!

Hey Colin I have a suggestion for another of your perfect videos (which they all are). Garageband has drums with brushes. I am trying to get the sound of the brushes in "Wild Horses" by Gino Vanelli (Canadian guy) it really makes the song.... Being a drummer yourself this is probably a piece of cake.....lol

When I select my tracks, there is no option to de-select the individual tracks inside the folder, I can ONLY select the individual tracks and cannot change the output on the folders. There is no option to change the output, just like on the Master strip.

I appreciate all the work you do and your videos are expert level but after watching all of them (multiple times) I’m no better at making anything sound good on GarageBand. I wish the drummer in my band was a great audio engineer.

Wouldn't it be easier to send the reference track to bus 32 instead?
@MiguelisNoisy Жыл бұрын
Bus 32 would still go thru the master processing. You need to move the master processing off the master bus to hear tracks with no processing.

Now with Logic Pro 11, you can't do this if you want to use the mastering assistant... How idiotic!?. Do you have a clever workaround for this?
