The paint color is similar to the aubergine/eggplant color we used for doors and trim. Really happy with it. You are a wise man to collaborate with your wife on plant choices. I appreciate that you work within your budget as it allows for creativity. Thanks for a fab tour!

It’s all looking fantastic & inspiring. Your wife’s roses really give it some extra flare. I love how cottage garden plants can be fitting in a tropical garden. All you need is a bit of creativity and flare. It’s wonderful. I must join the seed club too, it sounds like something me and my partner would enjoy.

Justicia carnea is a medicinal plant used in Nigeria to treat respiratory tract issues and also has blood-boosting properties. So lovely to see it growing in your garden as an ornamental plant.

Hi Craig. You have inspired me to work on my patio area also. My wife also fought very hard to keep her cottage plants. I agree it looks good when mixed with tropical plants

Looks amazing, it will fill out so much and look so lush. I moved from England to Australia some years ago which has allowed me to grow so much more especially tropical plants and fruits. Brugmansia is my favourite the smell on an evening is incredible. Happy gardening 😄

looks better than my yard and i live in Florida , Great job. Dark colors are great for the outside because once the sun is out it lightens up a bit and shifts hue throughout the day i used a dark Teal color for the shed. those fuchsias and cigar plants or cupheas the orange ones should do really good they love cool weather. I lose all my fuchsias come March after it gets into the 80s and high humidity. that Mexican cigar may do great in a planter as well it gets 3ft by 3ft does well down to about low 40s if you want it as a stand alone and don't want to lose it come winter. my issue here is the high humidity come summer and the high 90s

Thanks for the info. This is the sort of space I've got to work with width wise although a little longer. Currently a cottage style but I'd love to go tropical style! My only problem is no overwintering space. I'd love a Brugmansia though.

I was in B&Q the other day and walked past the Damson paint, I thought 'oh hi Craig' haha. How well do your raised beds drain? I assume you amended the clay a lot. I think you're absolutely right about having robust plants that thrive in UK weather - I've planted a hybrid tea rose called Piccadilly and it's a very tropical swirl of bright orange and yellow. Fits in great.

This made us laugh! It is a great colour :D Your 'Picadilly' rose sounds lovely.

Are you going to be making a video about what really happened to the snail after your video ended? Where is the snail now? Do snails fly well? Does your neighbour have an extra snail? All these questions are eating me up.
@GrowParadise5 ай бұрын
Haha, it stayed right where it was. We welcome the snails as we've got plenty of wildlife to keep things in balance. The snails do a great job of breaking down decaying leaves at ground level too.

Although I loathe every shade of purple, I think in this garden it looks absolutely fabulous! One think I would not do is pressure wash any kind of concrete slab/tiles. In my opinion aged concrete looks infinitely better than “brand new” (or newly washed) concrete. Other than that, I think your garden is just beautiful!❤
@GrowParadise5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, concrete slabs aren't the most appealing but they were getting quite slippery in wet winters so the wash was inevitable :D

The purple colour looks amazing. Like you I’m in clay medium heavy I think! I’m thinking I need about 4 inches of soil compost on top? Trying to guess how high your new border edge is!

Hello Craig. Two years ago a Black Mondo Grass suddenly sprouted from under an area covered in slate chippings. No idea where it came from. It's coming into flower which should result in it's berries. I wondered if you'd like me to send you some of the berries.

Thank you so much for the offer, I'm lucky to have lots of that plant already so please don't worry about sending the berries.

Hi, ours has been in the garden for several years now. The one we have is supposed to rust as it creates a nice patina.

Thank you for your feedback, we have to cover very expensive import costs for any stock that hasn't been homegrown. Many of our plug plants are unavailable from other sellers in the UK, we put a lot of effort into sourcing exciting new plants for our supportive customer base. We hope you enjoyed this video.
