Fun idea. I think the dead dungeon graphics are especially impressive

Really helpful guide for pixel art theory! I learned a lot just from watching this, whereas before I felt like I was just guessing.

I'm having trouble with my sprite in GB Studio. Whenever I import the character and I play the sample game, there's a square background around my character. I've exported my from Aseprite with no background, and I've exported with a green background. Maybe I'm using the wrong shade of green? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but this has been one major thing affecting my progress on my game

You should get the exact shade of green from the documents on the website. If you look under sprites you will find the bright green you need to use

o quick question and figured easier to ask before making a demo to figure it out. when using attack : weapon ( not projectile) does only the Sprite image count for hitbox? so is it worth to add the swing animation pixels just for extra hit box?
@RobertDoman3 жыл бұрын
No, the entire 16x16 space is the hit box, meaning it can be all bright green (invisible) and still hit things
