Extremely helpful video. Great work 👍 at 11:28 , do I have to set it back to hard drive after installation Or leave it?
@geekyhacks7 күн бұрын
Thank you! 😊 Glad you found it helpful! After installation, it's best to set the boot order back to the hard drive (or SSD) to ensure your PC starts up normally. If you leave it, the system might try to boot from the USB again. Let me know if you need more help! 👍

12:15 I have a question while selecting the type of installation. In my case, old HDD has all the old data(which i need). Now I need to install new OS in a new SSD which i had installed additionally. So if I had to keep all my data in hdd, which of the 2 options should i select, 1.Upgrade or 2.Custom??
@geekyhacks17 күн бұрын
If you want to install the new OS on your SSD while keeping the data on your HDD intact, choose Custom installation. During setup, select the SSD as the installation drive and avoid formatting the HDD. This way, your data on the HDD will remain safe. Let me know if you need more help! 😊

I already have a windows11dvd but my pc has no dvd drive😢
@geekyhacksАй бұрын
Hi there! 😊 If your PC lacks a DVD drive, you can still create a Windows 11 bootable USB. Here's how: Download the Windows 11 ISO: Visit Microsoft's official website to download the Windows 11 ISO file. Use the Media Creation Tool: Microsoft's Media Creation Tool can help you create a bootable USB drive directly. Create the Bootable USB: Use tools like Rufus or Universal USB Installer to create a bootable USB drive from the ISO file. Once you have the bootable USB, you can proceed with the installation as shown in my video. Hope this helps!

I tried doing the Rufus and I get error letter missing it sucks because I have no space I downloaded the iso into usb do I need to do this another computer
@geekyhacks25 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear you're running into issues! 😓 Yes, if you're getting an error with Rufus, it’s best to try creating the bootable USB on another computer. Make sure: 1. The USB has enough space (8GB or more). 2. The ISO file is fully downloaded and not corrupted. 3. You're running Rufus with Admin rights (right-click > Run as Administrator). If you still have problems, let me know the exact error message, and I'll do my best to help!

Can it be a 16gb SD card or does it have to be a thumb drive?
@geekyhacks15 күн бұрын
Yes, you can use a 16GB SD card as long as your PC can boot from it! Just ensure you have an SD card reader and format it correctly using tools like Rufus. A thumb drive is more common, but an SD card works too. 😊

Our system will supports only MBR whats the process we don't have any OS in our system
@geekyhacksАй бұрын
If your system only supports MBR and you don’t have an OS installed, don’t worry! 😊 When using Rufus to create the bootable USB, select the 'MBR' partition scheme and make sure the target system is set to 'BIOS or UEFI-CSM.' This will ensure compatibility with your system. Let me know if you need more help!

What about if someone wants to use it for another and the person doesn't know if the person's system supports mbr or gbt. what should the person do
@geekyhacksАй бұрын
Thank you for your question! If you're not sure whether the target system supports MBR or GPT, here's what you can do: 1. Check the System's Boot Mode: - If the system uses Legacy BIOS, it supports MBR. - If the system uses UEFI, it supports GPT. - Some systems support both. 2. Create a Dual-Mode USB: When creating the bootable USB using tools like Rufus, select the “MBR for BIOS and UEFI” option. This will make the USB compatible with both MBR and GPT systems. 3. Default to GPT for Modern Systems: If you're unsure and the system is relatively modern (manufactured after 2010), it's safe to go with GPT since most modern systems support UEFI. Let me know if you need more help!

Does it install internet driver
@geekyhacks25 күн бұрын
@ Good question! Windows usually installs basic network drivers during setup, but it might not include all specific ones. If your internet driver isn't installed, you can download it from the manufacturer's website after the installation. Hope this helps!

Say I wanted to take out my sata 2.5 ssd with windows and put in a new m.2 ssd, would the windows I install from the usb I made be free?
@geekyhacksАй бұрын
Yes, you can install Windows on your new M.2 SSD without purchasing a new license. Here's how: 1. Check Your License Type: Ensure your current Windows license is linked to your Microsoft account. This association allows for easier reactivation after hardware changes. 2. Install the M.2 SSD: Physically install the new M.2 SSD into your PC. 3. Create a Bootable USB: Use the method from my video to create a bootable USB with the Windows installation media. 4. Install Windows: Boot from the USB and install Windows on the new SSD. 5. Activate Windows: After installation, if Windows doesn't activate automatically, use the Activation Troubleshooter: 6. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation. Click Troubleshoot and follow the prompts to reactivate Windows.

@geekyhacks28 күн бұрын
Hi! 😊 If you're looking to install Windows for free, you can download the official Windows ISO from Microsoft's website and install it without a product key. However, it will run in limited mode (e.g., no personalization options). To avoid expiration and get full features, you'll need to activate it with a valid license key. Hope this helps!
