Hi Dave, If you keep your main profile as your business platform will all the goofy friends content (quotes, inside jokes, personal stuff) be seen by your business people or do you delete those friends once you create a family and friends profile and only have them there?

Ok, so it makes sense that I have to move the friends from the main profile to the new profile one by one. Could you answer the 2nd question that I asked?-- 2. Now once I have moved the family contacts to the new profile, can I delete them from the main profile? It would be your choice to delete friends/family from your main profile. You are able to do that if you like :)

There isn't a specific length of time. When the option becomes available for your profile it will just show up in your menu

Hi Dave. Thanks for this video. I definitely want to create an additional profile for family only. Hopefully, you can answer these few questions. 1. Is there a way to move all of my family at one time to the new profile. I only have 100 contacts that are family. Is there something in settings (main profile or the new profile) that enables me to click on each family contact in the main profile and move them to the new profile? Or do I have to rely on Facebook showing them in the 'you may know' section? 2. Now once I have moved the family contacts to the new profile, can I delete them from the main profile? I want to do this because I do not want family to see my business posts. I have business contacts in my main profile in a custom group now. So if I can delete family from the main then I can just post without having to select my colleague's group. The bottom line is I would like total separation between family and business contacts. The real question is.. is it monetized that 2nd or more profiles? Let's say i wanna build 4 different niches to promote but.. use my main profile with my original first and last name away of everything.. i dont wanna see someone that as 'Dave' i'm promoting electronics of affiliate links.. or promoting music as artist.. or a different art like handmade tools to sell etc.. is that all profiles under main profiles minimum criteria to monetization as an account despite if i have 1k followers or not on a specific alt profile?

Great info! I have only 1 FB acct/page/profile. It is over a decade old. I am wanting to follow your suggestion to utilize this existing account as my "new" business account -- then create a new profile/page (sorry, not sure I know that correct lingo) in order to move my family/friends to the newest page and dedicate it as my personal page. But how do I move my family/friends from one page to another? I saw your response to someone else's question about this but I don't know how to go about it manually, either. :) Thanks. Yes, you can keep friends on both profiles. There isn't a way to "move" friends from one profile to another. You simply send them a friend request from the new profile and then unfriend them from the old profile :)

I created an additional profile easy enough, made every setting public but still no one can see anything on my new one except my profile pic. They can't see any photos, or the albums I created or any posts. I uploaded many pics to an album that I have set on "public" but nobody can see them. The only good thing tha's come out of the new profile is when I go to comment with it in the community I created it for everyone there see's the nickname they know me by but with an empty creepy profile. Meanwhile my main profile still acts as normal with pics, posts etc...... What am I doing wrong?? Please help.

Sounds like something is not quite right in your settings. Additional profiles can definitely be made public. If you are Verified, just reach out to Meta Support and they'll help you fix it via live chat :)

Why not create a FB page instead? I wish they had this for Instagram, a way to create additional profiles/pages on the same account/email address. But on FB, I don't think it's really necessary to have that since we have the FB pages..

Pages have some major limitations. For example, you can't initiate a conversation in Messenger with your leads via a page (pages can only respond once someone else starts a conversation)

Hi Dave thanks for the video I found it very helpful. I do get the (one account and multiple profiles) which could be helpful. My issues is i have my personal account and as suggested added another profile for my brand. That being said i am having trouble/difficulty connecting my instagram posts to my 2nd profile.
