Thank you for your feedback. I will pass that on to our team. In the mean time you can find many Normal Map generators by searching google that are free

is it possible to import splines from illustrator into Clo? Im thinking of a situation where I have a complex shaped patch, and its already done in illustrator. In your example, you used a simple oval/ellipse shape to create your patch piece. In my case I want to use a more complex shape thats not a simple primitive - and I dont want to have to draw it out again as a pattern in Clo. Is it possible to import those illustrator splines and have them be recognized as pattern shapes in Clo?
@CLO3D Жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes. The key to using Illustrator files correctly is following a few best practices 1] Keep your paths as simple and clean as possible. 3] Avoid having Anchor Points that are very close to each other. 4] do not make corners very sharp. 2] Pattern shapes should be closed shapes 5] You can draw shapes/lines on top of the closed shapes and they will import as either baselines or internal lines depending on what you choose in the import options. Hope this helps.

For an ellipse shape emboidery this is fine but if there is no shape!! This is not working !! Without the ellipse shape only with the letter, how can we do???
@CLO3D2 жыл бұрын
You are correct. This tutorial is just for creating a patch embroidery. Some of these techniques can be applied to other embroideries, but is dependent upon the design you create and your skills in Illustrator & Photoshop.

What pixelsize did you use?

Images in CLO do not need to be any higher than 72PPI. A Maximum Quality JPG or PNG will give you excellent results.

Hello Jim Thanks for this Nice clear directions will there be a practice file given as a save reference file to follow along? Sep Question, are you the Jim S that worked with Patty from Purple Thumb? and at the art stationery store on 35th in NY :)
@CLO3D4 жыл бұрын
Hello! Sorry there won't be a practice file provided for this one - you can use the default t-shirt or any garment and make your own graphic image in illustrator to test. Also yes and wow, it is that Jim in the tutorial :) We are very lucky to have him on our team now.

Where did you get, or how did you make the embroidery texture for the displacement map?

It was just a generic image found online.
