I know people that wasted their time and money attending the infamous and now shuttered _Ai_ and getting absolutely nowhere, while grads like me attended the school of the same name back in the early/mid eighties when it was strictly a two-year finishing school, for which you had to attend a regular college or university for the required academic classes, as well as some of the prerequisites such as art history, typography and color theory, etc... It was a completely different education environment then with successful results...

My dad is a Graphic designer he's considered one of the best in my country he's certified with Adobe and has been doing design for over 30 years even before computers got involved he says I have the talent for it so I decided to take a course and realized I already know design back to front just from observing my dad's work and doing other creative fields my issue is I'm not experienced with any design programs so I'm trying to decide where to start because of budgetary reasons I want to stay away from Adobe for now and If I actually get jobs in I can switch over I'm not sure what a good alternative is

Then you include 'shadow' marketing (something spoken - that shapes, but stays in the 'shadows') as well as other techniques - it all makes this presentation rich - in content - while maintaining simplicity. Its so hard for me… Just finished high school (matura in austria) and now i have about 9 months to decide wheter ill stick to my recent interest and also high school stuff that was programming or switch to graphic design… I want to learn it but im not that creative and i cant rly draw that good and all these adobe programms are not that cheap so ill have to invest not a little amount into this without knowing if its the right decision or if its better to stick with programming… I rly like these Logo Designs, UI Design, etc. but idk if im the right person for this. I guess ill just have to say f it - put the money in and try my best to get better every day and hopefully after a few months ill know if graphic design suits me or not.

I definitely understand it’s hard. You do not need to be able to draw to be successful as a designer. You do need to have the drive and the understanding of the basics of design with a good instructor. I’m about to release a course all about the basics of graphic design that will be affordable no matter where you are in the world. It will come with tons of practice projects too.

I think this is definitely a good alternative to people who aren't privileged to afford school. I do plan on taking a two year course at my local University, because although I can watch all of these videos, I lose my motivation to practice. Going through a teacher who has years and years of progressive practice within the art will and CAN be incredibly beneficial. I hope to aim to become a Graphic Designer and do freelance, be my own boss and create amazing things for others. Thank you for the informative video.

I've seen many youtube videos about graphic designs. I've practiced some design but not much. But after practice every time I'm feeling that i can't do any new design by myself, I can't create/ imagine new content or design. My head remains blank. This makes me demotivated every time😭😭

Hi Monjuri, this is not uncommon at the beginning and you just can not be so hard on yourself. You have to realize that all designers started with not knowing the skill and with tons and tons and tons of practice they moved themselves up to being better and better. Always look at the type of designs that you love to do and strive to get there. It’s ok to reference great designers to get ideas and to inspire. If you’re feeling stuck always see how others have solved similar problems and then go at it newly with your own take on it.
