thanks for sharing it is a good tutorial, checked out your NFT in Open Sea looks cool. BTW the code at 16:10 that is an "if-else" statement, you don't need to change the number 10 at the end. That is the default if you did not provide any argument when calling "node index.js". So instead of changing that 10 to something else, just type in "node index.js 50" or any other number, then it will generate that amount of images.

Also I initially did run into an issue and for anyone else who did, if you get error code ENOENT, re download the code and once you go into the layers folder and switch out the presets with your own, and then change the code into the correct order in which you want your layers, MAKE SURE YOU HIT SAVE ALL! For more context, go to 12:50 in the video where he goes over the config.js portion

Yeah, I believe on opensea if you set a fixed price, they will ask the buyer to pay the gas fee (if you accept a bid then as the seller you pay - so you make sure it is a good bid :)), still that helps the artist. I really hope that we can figure out a better system though, I have wanted to purchase a few pieces that I just happen to like, but the gas fees were more than the artwork. So I try to find a better time to buy, but of course risk losing the item.

@16:06 Don't change the code to generate 1, 5, 10, or 10,000. From the line you showed you just need to pass an argument when you call node. So running it from the command line like so `node index.js 25` will generate 25 images and `node index.js 10000` will generate 10,000. Viola no code change to vary the images created (ps don't type the back ticks those are just there to separate what you type from what you are reading).

The github repo has been updated to: github.com/HashLips/hashlips_art_engine Some of the code has changed, but not to worry... It's pretty straightforward. Basically, Hashlips now has two .js files instead of one. And you don't need to do anything with main.js. Use the same install commands provided in the video. Once you've done that, replace the layer attributes under "const layersOrder = [" (in the config.js file) with whatever you have. For example, I'm using "Background", "Body", "Eyes", etc. Also make sure to order the layers so that they render well in the final output. Speaking of which, there are no longer folders for input and output; your created editions will appear in the "build" folder. I left the const format at 230 x 230, but whatever you use, make sure your canvass is the same size in PixelArt or wherever.

a X b X c X d = 6 X 10 X 20 X 10 = 12000 But this is assuming you want all traits to be equally as likely to appear, no rarity here If one of the traits in layer a will be 2X as rare as the others, then you replace it with 1/2, so for a instead of using 6 traits you use 5.5 traits on the math (5 trails will full odds and one with half odd). If you want another a trait to be 4X as rare are a normal one then consider it as 1/4, so a would now be 4 full odds, one half odd and one quarter odd, totaling 4.75 You then do the same for all layers I hope I was clear

In the video you mentioned that the image had to be 1000 x 1000 pixels. Is there anyway to change to code or is there another version that allows smaller images like 400 x 400 ? I can resize the images but it takes away from the quality . Great video! Can’t wait to try this!

I also don't have .gitignore listed on the left. Any help would be awesome!

All that is saying is your file your trying to run doesnt exist, if you type "node" and drag your index.js file into the terminal it SHOULD auto put the path for you then press enter. The .gitignore doesnt matter in your case , all thats for is for pushing files to github which you arent doing atall.

Thanks for this tutorial. The whole process works great, apart from one thing.. I noticed the output PNG's look more like JPEG's- if you zoom in on them, you can see artifacts around the edges. Is that normal, or did I mess something up?

Ok I figured out why this was happening.. In the config.js you can set Width and Height, which is 230x230px by default in the latest build. So it was resizing my 1000x1000 images.
