Just discovered this channel and it's exactly what I'm looking for, thank you! Started learning how to box a few years ago - have tried a couple of coaches and gyms and really loved it. Issue is how expensive it can be for personal training, and a lot of the cheaper group classes focus more on conditioning than technique. Conditioning is important of course, but I know how to do jumping jacks and pushups and abs exercises and don't need to pay money for someone to tell me to do them when I have the discipline to take care of conditioning on my own. Was hoping to find a cheaper solution on KZbin focusing on technique, and here I am! Have gone through a few videos already and am very excited! Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks bro! I use your tips while sparing MMA. Got into it a couple years ago at the ripe age of 40 and fell in love with it. Sometimes I’ll do drop ins at the local boxing gym, but I better be ready for their conditioning session since it’s a hella va workout. 🥊

Great stuff. Can we see how to do it when going backwards or when defending. I'm going to ask my coach about it as well. I think it could be useful to change the angle to open an opportunity to counter if someone is attacking aggressively

Really great video, can't wait for the shifting weight angles video! Btw,what is your opinion on creating an angle to the right with your left foot first? (orthodox)
@PrecisionBoxing2 ай бұрын
You can, that's usually more of a step and pivot when you are already on the inside. But almost anything can be applied if you do it fast enough and with good timing.

The problem with angles seems to be not as much the energy and time but more so the risk of losing your balance and being in a bad position to get hit.
@AkseliHuusko-md5th2 ай бұрын
Everytime you punch you also risk losing balance. You just have to practice the angles until you don't lose balance. Everything worth doing comes with effort attached to it.

Hey @Precision Boxing, i just purchased the level 1/basic membership by mistake, i thought i would be able to watch the beginners tutorial playlist but only realised after purchasing that I bought the wrong membership. I would want to buy the 'learn to box' membership but is there any possible way that i can get a refund for the current membership or I can upgrade my membership by paying the rest of the money? Would really appreciate the help, thanks!
@PrecisionBoxing2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can upgrade from here. You go to "See Perks" or "My Perks" on your channel, then you click on the settings wheel and then modify your level. If that doesn't work and you want a refund you'll have to talk to KZbin support, I don't have the ability to do refunds on my end. All admin is done with KZbin. I hope this helps.
@Roger-nh8ol2 ай бұрын
@@PrecisionBoxingthanks for replying. I am afraid the upgrade level is not working on this channel, the option of change level is greyed out, I can't click on it.

İ do boxing for about 2 years regularly and i am orthodox boxer but when i was baby i had been a left handed but my parents forced me to be a right handed because of religion reasons and because of this im not comfortable with my rear right hand in boxing matches. Should i pass to the southpaw or stay in orthodox and get used to using my right hand.
@PrecisionBoxing2 ай бұрын
If you kick a soccer ball with your right foot then go orthodox, if you tend to kick it with your left then go southpaw. Foot dominance tends to be more important than handedness.
@SemihİsmailPOLAT2 ай бұрын
@@PrecisionBoxing i can kick a soccer ball with my both foot and when i do shadowboxing as a southpaw, my footwork isn't that bad. İ think if i train footwork as a southpaw for a while i am going to have better footwork than now. And i want to be a pro boxer, wouldn't it be better for me to switch to southpaw for the future?

Only thing wrong is your throwing the left hook after the right hand and your calling it a lead hook. A lead hook is when you throw it without ANY other punch!!!
@PrecisionBoxing2 ай бұрын
It’s called the Lead Hook so that we don’t exclude southpaws. As in lead hook vs rear hook. What you’re referring to is “leading with the hook”

Lead hook is thrown from the same side as the lead foot, rear hook with rear foot.

Who cares about the names. What's important in this video is to understand how to learn angles not the name of the punch.
