Thanks for this tutorial, please can i make use of Bobby pins to secure the curls while rolling?
@AlexiaTracy
@AlexiaTracy 2 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! You can definitely use Bobby pins! When i don’t have any clips, i always opt for Bobby pins. I just showed the method with the clips because it’s easier to use when pinning hair vs having the separate the Bobby pin & then clipping it onto the hair, especially when you only have two hands to work with. And then imagine if you only have one hand, the clip method is just easier to use & doesn’t leave the indent like a Bobby pin would. However, Bobby pins are GREAT AFFORDABLE alternatives!!!

@@AlexiaTracy okay so they came out cute 🥰, but not as flowy as yours were. I need to watch how you pin curl some more and also use more hair spray so the curls will have longevity throughout the day.
@AlexiaTracy
@AlexiaTracy 2 жыл бұрын
@@shanitalee30sl pin them how you would want them to fall. For example, test one section out. Take a piece of your hair, curl it and pin it.. a couple moments later after it’s cool. Take the pin down, if you like the way it falls then keep pinning it that way. If you don’t like it then switch up how you pin it or switch the direction in how you pin it. Also, the bigger the section the looser the curl. The smaller the section, the tighter the curl. The longer you keep your hair pinned, the longer the curl will last and the longer it will take for the curl to drop. You can also manipulate your curls with your hands, and by brushing or combing it. It’s soooo many things you can do to get a curl to look a certain way. Get creative and test your own methods out. Try that next time, and let me know what you come up with☺️

@@AlexiaTracy I also didn’t remove the pins on the wig head forgetting that you did that 🤦🏽‍♀️. Would the curl last any less if I just curled it, pinned them and took the pins down and just left it on the wig head until I got ready to wear it on Sunday or would the curls still fall by then? I use Got 2 b glue freeze spray. Thank you so much for the helpful tips and responding so quickly ❤️. I’m back on it tomorrow no later than this weekend 🤞🏽.

this was a great tutorial!! but what about the upkeep of the hair? like how do i sleep while preserving the curls?
@AlexiaTracy
@AlexiaTracy 2 жыл бұрын
I love your question! There’s multiple ways, it all depends on your preference. Since this is a wig, i can just take it off at night & set it to the side. However, if the curls are attached to your head or is a sew in. You can pin the curls at night and sleep with a bonnet, you can twirl the hair in the directions of how you want the curls to fall the next morning and loosely pin it. So basically, your best bet would be to pin it before bed if you want the curls to look identical everyday.. Now if you’re like me and don’t have time to do that every day, sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and improvise and be okay with your curls not looking exactly the same through out the week. I personally would just put my scarf on around the front so it can stay laid and neat, and allow the back of my hair to stay out with the long part of the scarf covering it. If i didn’t have a scarf, i would wear a long extended bonnet(the one that you’d wear if you had braids). Another thing that I would personally do is.. take big sections of my curls and loosely pin them so that when i take it down in the morning, I’ll still have some curls left from the day i curled it. I can keep giving suggestions and ways for you to improvise but this message would be super long and i gotta go to the bathroom as I’m sitting in my car typing this😆😅❤️❤️❤️ lol so i hope this message helps you all! Let me know if it did or not!

Where do we get the hair spray from for the curls?
@AlexiaTracy
@AlexiaTracy 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, you can buy that hair spray from your local grocery store, from your dollar store. It’s suave so you can literally buy that anywhere lol. But this video is old, i def suggest just checking out your local beauty supply store. I used suave but i used that because that’s all i had at the moment. So it’s okay to improvise and use a holding spray that you have (unless you’re selective and want to use a a cruelty free brand, plant based, or holistic brand it etc) But you can use a regular “holding spray”

Can I pin the curls with Bobby pins? I want to do this at night and take them down on the morning. What temperature are you using? I don’t want to burn my hair when the flat iron is on one spot for along time.
@AlexiaTracy
@AlexiaTracy 3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can, that’s calling “setting the hair or setting the curls”. You’ll actually get a better turn out by letting the hair be pinned longer or overnight. The curls will be tighter, last longer & have a lot of bounce & body

You barely took any off the other side..,.doesnt the silk drops make it ridiculous to curl? Everytime i use those drops i end up frying my hair tryin to get any curl. Or if i do get a little wave its all gone to straight before i get in the car. Even with hairspray.
