I create my rhythms this way too Bo. I think the Circuit was the best first purchase for me in synthesis. Straight after I bought a Korg Monologue and this pair allow me to create great tunes. I’m just about to buy a Behringer pro one to add.

Hello have a questions. Is three any way to play open hihat sample only when the pad is touched, not the whole sample? To make it sound like foot is working on half open hihat and choking it. Sorry for my poor english.

Thanks for a great video. I purchaced the COFFEE & BEATS CIRCUIT PATCHES and I can't upload it to the circuit. It tells me it's a wrong file type? Any suggestions? The circuit doesn't want to upload the BANK FILE with all patches. I can't load them one by one either?

Thanks for the helpful vid. To what extent would you consider this a one-stop-shop, or do you see it as part of a wider set up? Is the drum performance good enough to not need a separate drum unit, for example? What else would you partner with it?

Bought a lauchpad pro and now I want this circuit. Do you think they will nice together? Or should I just connect the launchpad to an iPhone/pad and use an app there for mobile music making? I have the Korg gadget app, but didn't buy the €45 cable to connect them jet.

Wow. You know the old saying of you are only limited by your creativity? Well at this moment I'm limiting my Circuit's drum programming possibilities! Great video, I have much to learn...
@BoBeats7 жыл бұрын
Just keep at it. And do not be afraid to just hammer away on those pads, remove steps that you dislike, and sculpt a beat. Using "overdub" to record additional sounds.

Cheers for the encouragement! I've had the circuit 7 months now and have been loving it's synth sounds and ability to create beautiful chord progressions and melodies. It's great to know I don't need anymore gear for a long while, when I've got so much potential in here

Hi, Thanks for the video. Do you know, if i can clear one channel completely? So suppose I have kick on drum1, and some complex groove on drum2. Can i reset just the drum2 groove, and clear everything for drum2 while keeping the kick pattern on drum1? Thank you
@BoBeats7 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks! To my knowledge this can not be done in any quick way. You basically have to either remove everything in a pattern at once (per channel) OR you have to go pattern by pattern deleting individual notes. This is an annoying feature for sure

+DR BITC0IN drawbacks are that you cant choose the quantazation. You are sort of stuck to 16/1 time division. Which can be annoying.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a circuit for a few weeks now. Your videos are all really good. But I play my horn and keyboards live and already have a drum machine so I'm leaning very heavily towards the RC505 loop station. As an instrumentalist it seems more up my alley.

As a drummer, this is exactly how I do not create any kind of beat. xD Too each their own however, there are no rules, only past experience. There is nothing wrong with your method for making beats. It's all subjective, but I am fortunate to have 30 years of drumming under my belt, and my experience tells me that the BASS PLAYER determines what the beat should be, so write the bass line first (unless you just have an AWESOME beat that even a bass player would be envious of).
