How to Create Consolidated Financial Reports using Consolidations in Odoo 16

In this video, I demonstrate how to use the Consolidations module in Odoo.
In Odoo, the Consolidations module is used for consolidating financial reports from multiple companies or subsidiaries into a single financial statement. This module provides a consolidated financial report that presents the financial data of all the companies in a group as a single entity.
With the Consolidations module, you can easily manage the financial reports of your subsidiaries or multiple companies. The module allows you to create a consolidated chart of accounts, which helps you to maintain uniformity in accounting procedures and simplify the reporting process. Additionally, it enables you to generate consolidated balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
The Consolidations module is particularly useful for organizations that have multiple subsidiaries or companies, as it allows you to view the financial health of the entire group in one place. Dear Kevin, You build your Q1 Consolidated P&L based upon 3 separate Consolidated P&L (1 per month). I worked a bit different. I created one Consolidated P&L with several periods in it, so not individual consolidations for each month. Now, I want to build my YTD consolidated view - including my 12 periods (one per month) from the same consolidation. Is it possible? Is there anything else to take into account when configuring my YTD consolidated view? Many thanks for your answer and advise

How can we accommodate those companies that are outside Odoo. by Out side I mean those for which we have not created any company in Odoo. example Joint Ventures and where our shareholding is less then 50 and we cannot force them to use odoo

Do we need to enforce the same chart of accounts structures and account numbers for all multicompanies ?

You can utilize any account structure. You will be mapping based on selected accounts. It does not matter what they are named or how they are numbered.

Can we create Separate Consolidations for each Financial Report like Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Trial balance, etc. ??? I don't want to show all report's balances in a single consolidation.

Yes of course, you can create as many as you want and separate them by financial statement type.
