In this video, it is made in reference to a blog site (posts). But what about a corporate site where the homepage itself is the most important page? According to the pyramid you showed, the cornerstone content should be directly linked to the homepage. But what if the homepage itself is the most important page? Do I set the homepage as a cornerstone article then? Please help.

Setting the homepage as a cornerstone doesn't really serve a purpose. Our cornerstone analysis has extra strict assessments for copy length, readability etc, so it helps you create your best, most complete, extensive articles on your site to rank on certain topical searches, which doesn't apply to your homepage.
