"Highlight this result in the text" option in Readability does not work for me when I write a blog in Classic editor on Wordpress. How to fix this issue?

Hi Dhananjay! We tested this on our end and we see that it's working correctly. Is this happening with a specific part of the assessment? Or does this affect all of the eye icons in the Readability and SEO analysis?

@@yoast The option highlights the required part of the text in normal wordpress editor for me. But when I write using the Classic editor, it doesn't highlight any part in the text. Also it affects all the eye icons in the Readability and SEO analysis.

Can you please make sure you're running the latest version of Yoast SEO (17.2.1), WordPress, theme, and ALL other plugins? If everything's already updated on your end and the issue persists, it might be easier to troubleshoot this over at the WordPress forums. @@yoast having to switch between WordPress editor to view Yoast feedback, and Elementor editor to edit the page. It would be so much quicker and easier to have all the information on the Elementor editor. Thanks for your help.

Does Yoast highlight the sentences that need to be improved in Elementor?

Hi Sharon! The eye marker feature is only available in the default Visual editor. If you are using a third-party page builder, such as Elementor, the eye marker feature will not work. Page builders add flexibility to the standard WordPress editor and build on top of it. As a result, it's impossible for our eye marker to show the highlighted parts of the content. We understand this is not the desired option, but unfortunately, it's not something we can fix on our end.

great...lets reward WRITERS for watering down their sentences and restricting their lexicon so that cousin-bangin' yokels and 10 year olds wont get frustrated. i get it tho...this is the business. you want to be mass consumption friendly,you gotta dumb it down

Exactly. It does feel like it's dumbing it down. Even on their website, it says, "But it is usually believed that a good web text can be easily understood by a 13-15-year-old." That's a direct quote from their site.
