How to create DCP for FREE with DCP-o-matic

So it doesn't give me the option to do 16:9 and I get black bars on the side. Was it like a old version that had more option and now new version does not?

test dcp player with resolve. just import the file once exported and look at it. Should work

Same with Adobe Premiere. Drop the video and audio right in. What is the point of these players then? The file looks to boot from the the "Assetmap" file putting both the sound and video together from what my brain is telling me. Before I check with the theater I want to make sure my file is correct. NeoDCP shows the correct color pallet while Easy DCP jacks it all up on color but plays sound. DCP O'Matic has been the realest with me. Wonderful program so far (still haven't checked my movie on the big screen yet). Love how it checks my audio levels too by mapping them. I'm only looking through the demo versions of easydcp (very deceptive) but I think DCP O'matic's playback is sufficient. You can also check the video alone in VLC media player. Audio and video has to be checked separately.

thanks for the video. I used this dcp-o-matic and converted my mp4 to dcp (or I thought) and took it to a theater to test as we did this for an upcoming event and it didn't work. They said the file they found was a .dcpdig file and not a .dcp file and therefore they were unable to play the video I made. I still have a few days to figure this out and was wondering if this means anything to you. I may have done something wrong but not sure what it could be....... Thanks in advance for any commentary

Forget it it will ruin your life, as well as in Davinci

works fine for me. however you are limited to 2K resolution and 24-25 FPS. if you want to get more options in resolution and FPS, you have to pay for an upgrade since its a plugin that premier entails. the upgrade is very expensive, if i remember correctly it costs around a 1000$.

Unless your davincii device not powerful enough, It work well in davincii & quiet powerful, because they have the paid version of easy dcp access
