Hi i have created all of my artwork on canva as you have showed in this video and donwloaded as a PDF print file, however on your shop on Etsy is shows you provide the customer with jpgs? Which is the right format to provide them and how do you make them all 300dpi? When i download my different ratio images as jpgs they are way below 300dpi

Hello! Unfortunately getting higher resolution (300dpi) is quiet a struggle when using Canva. I would recommend either using a free upscale software or using a different design software like Illustrator or Kittl. I recently discovered Kittl for print products and love the ability to change the ratio and DPI on all projects. If you would like me to create a video on how I use Kittl for art prints, then please let me know and I'll work on creating it.

With commercial you're only allowed up to 5,000 prints (which is high but isn't that limiting and how do you keep track?) So should I just automatically download as transparent on the prints that I want to sell or just the mock ups? What is the difference if we leave the ones we are selling on a white background or make them transparent so the customer can print them on whatever colour paper they want? Also, how can I be sure the quality of the design I do won't pixelate? Lastly, what if the customers doesn't want pdf and would prefer png or jpg? Are those options too large for Etsy? Thanks for the idea Zoey. However I don't currently use Photoshop, but I would imagine that the file types and size would be the same across all design platforms. I often use Adobe Illustrator for my art print designs and the method for saving the final document is pretty much the same. Hope this helps :)

SO HELPFUL! Question about end product limits: I read that Creative Market has a 5,000 end product limit for purchases with a commercial license. How do printable sellers keep track of how many times they sell any element from a purchase they made? If I buy a bundle every item in the bundle counts toward the 5,000, right? I can't seem to find any information on how sellers manage this to stay within the policy/rules.

Glad to hear it was helpful. You can keep track of how many items you sell within the Etsy seller dashboard, under the "Stats" tab. Alternatively, you could keep track of all your sales with a simple spreadsheet.

re Canva - i checked and it only goes up to 8000 pixels - so how do you get around this for big prints? because to create a ISO file for all the A sizes and also large prints like 24x30 inches then these are 7200x9000 pixels. too big for canva

I know I am late to this video but I am trying to get started on printables. How do you account for margins when want to do artwork that extends to the edges? Is there a particular ration to use? Or if you use the standard one, for example 8.5 x 11 will they images be cut off if your extend it past the margins? Thank you once again for this video.

It depends on what type of printer your customer uses. Some home printers allow printing all the way to the margin, however most don't. So I would recommend creating a margin around your designs.

I am looking at the Creative Market commercial licensing and I'm a little confused on the language - it says you can't allow the end user to reproduce any of the art. So it sounds like you can use it to print onto items (like through a print store, and then sell the finished items to a customer) but not let the user actually use a file to print on their own. So I'm just not sure how selling a pdf of the re-designed images is allowed... Can you help me with the confusion on this? I really want to go this route but I don't want to run into problems! Thanks!
