How To Create Drive Textures // Looking At The TB 03

Hey KZbin, this video is all about how to create drive textures and looking at the tb 03.
Most will know this iconic machine from Acid House, a genre that got infused by DJ Pierre way back in 1985. Since then almost everyone has tried to create and mimic the textures of the sound. Be it hardware or software based. Now what makes this a carzy machine is that, while intended to the bass player market, it launched the electronic rave scene as it's iconic quirky sound is one to hear once and never forget.
Since the revival of old school synths, creating 303 style bass lines is back and hotter than ever. In this video I try to explain where I use mine and why I opt to use this box and not another. Enjoy!

@@AnalogKitchen good, had not thought to set the tb03 to less than 16 steps. Was able to get that nice groove going thanks to this vid! Have been favoring the SP-16 over the MPC live since the workflow is just quicker, would love to see a vid from you on programming things into the MPC

@@AnalogKitchen its something thats really never talked about. as soon as you said what you said i nodded my head in agreement. i have a yamaha mixer w 10 channel and also a pretty nice on-board fx rack, but it doesnt have multi-track and it obviously is meant for a much more simple setup than my eurorack+808+303 haha

The Behringer TD-3 (303 clone) has a sequencer in the synth tool. You can easily create new patterns in a piano roll and store them in the TD-3. Not really an option when you own a Roland 303, but might be handy for people looking into a 303 synth.

I love the freedom of the sequencer rather than making another chain. The Octa itself gets chain from the MPC
