Just wanted to say thank you, for your lessons (and even companionship during the long nights, when things aren’t not so great for me, health wise!…6 …I am getting better everyday and I do love my crafting time, when I can do it. Silly as it sounds I imagine you and your sister and Biscuit as far off cousins, …and even imagine that someday, you and I, having a cup of tea, while comparing crafty notes on a foggy, rainy day!). ….But as an older grandma in the U.S…. That can only happen in my heart… so best wishes and my your cup always be full!

Ceri, I LOVE learning from you! Your tutorials are well-organized and simple to follow, and I can tell by your many tips and tricks that you are detail oriented, as am I. I particularly like that you encourage us to adapt items that we have on hand so we don't have to go out and buy unnecessary supplies or equipment. These faux stamps turned out just lovely. Thank you for the time you spent to teach us this process. Looking forward to your future tutorials. From Cheryl in AZ, USA

There are so many things about Ceri's videos that I enjoy; his talent and willingness to share are marvelous, but one very important aspect of the videos that I think is especially important is his"if it works, it works, and if it doesn't, what have you lost?" attitude. If there was a school devoted, solely, to teaching the creative life, that should be the first lesson of the first class- being an artist \ crafts person \ creative means having a willingness to take risks to a certain degree. A curiosity, a willingness to try something without being so fixated on how it turns out. Years ago, I read a quote that said, " Even Picasso had to BECOME Picasso," and he did that by taking risk. I am not advocating taking truly dangerous risks, but do not let fears of things not turning out as you envisioned (the elusive, even mythical "perfect") to hold you back.

Oh Ceri, I just love your style of teaching. You DO NOT over explain anything. You are very thoughtful in assuring that newbies like us get the full understanding of the process. I don’t watch many channels that have 1 hour videos, but I watch yours because they are so valuable and encouraging to those of us that wish to create and discover a larger world of art making. THANK YOU for the time you take to share your knowledge and emphasize our need to be ourselves and do it “our way” without apologies. And THESE STAMPS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! I can’t wait to try making some fore myself! Love your spirit, creativity, and willingness to share your knowledge! ❤️🥰👏👏👏🥰❤️

Ceri, I simply want to thank you for your thorough and delightful videos. I smile as much as I learn, what a gift that is! And I hope I have a tip that will help with the sticky ends of your tapes and the challenge you have getting them started again. Thank you for the inspiration! I love watching what you make and subscribed after your 5 item swap with Gayle. I ordered several types of tearing rulers. I got a set like yours. I find that the thickness of the plastic makes it more difficult for me to tear my paper. I also found a metal one (I think Joy made it. I got it on Amazon). It was much easier for me. Then, I watched a few you tube videos in which the makers made their own. They used a cheap plastic ruler from the dollar store and a hot iron to burn little wedges into the edges of the rulers. Those are my favorite! I can get a more random edge and it’s so much easier for me to use. It did not hurt my iron at all. If you are interested, I could post a link for a few of the videos. I really love this idea and your stamps are lovely! Hugs, treen 💜💜💜

Hi Katrine, when I first started I thought I had to have a tear ruler and I use it in my videos because many people have one but a lot of the time when I’m creating off camera I just use a metal ruler or no ruler at all. Thank you for the tip though it’s a good one.

Explained so well. While this may take some time to do in volume it’s a great way to be creative when you don’t want to do something big. I will be looking at washi tape in a whole new way. TY

I do this when I want to build up my stash of ephemera pieces and I’m not feeling like doing much more than sit at my worktable and just do stuff.

Loved making these, I had a wavy corrugated toasties carton from Costa, made a perfect franking stamp.

I learned the pinking shears thing that was cool I tried it as you were doing it because I was fussy cutting while you were talking. That is so cool to see instant results.

Thank you for this! It’s a beautiful way to do this! I think I’ll use a similar process to decorate my “inchie” journals. Yes, they are just one inch square, but there are so many things you can do. I had not, however, thought of using “framed” washi tape! This will be a great addition!
