A trick to make sure a spell is being typed correctly is you can shift-click a spell in your spell book and it will add it into the macro. Really helps for things like racial abilities.

So do you essentially replace your commands with the macros? For example, instead of putting your Barbed Shot on your action bar, you put the macro (with the same icon)? Forgive my lack of knowledge. I've been playing the game for the past year and a half without any macros at all...

That's right Alan - and so it means, for example, every time you cast Barbed Shot using your button or keybind, you're running the macro instead (and therefore getting your pet to attack etc etc as well as any other commands in the macro, in the order they are in the macro)

hey i'm new to macros but your video helps ! need re rewatch it 10x more tough xD I always use shift for my second bar, so this will be a challenge since you use shift for every macroo, my question is: whats the N key on your first actionbar? n1 n2 n3 etc. and the P key I see, maybe a noob question but i'm so used to having numbers on first, shift numbers second and alt numbers third

Great video. For your weak aurora video, could you please show how to make a WA noise alert ( I like to use sounds to notify me when something comes off CD or procs) for when I have 2 charges of barbed shot when In combat? So when ever I hear thjs chime or what ever sound I choose, I will know to fire barbed shot immediately so I don't waste any potential procs of said barbed shot.

Really enjoyed this tutorial. I found this because I am looking for some help with casting Swiftmend or Rejuvenation while in Moonkin Form. It takes me out of Moonkin Form. I was trying to find a macro solution to put me back into Moonkin Form whenever I cast Swiftmend or Rejuvenation. I dont want to make another action bar to add more spells! Ideally, I would like to be able to use Swiftmend, for example to heal myself or an ally, then change back to Moonkin form and continue to DPS all in one button press (ie: my "E" button - which is currently bound to Swiftmend). I can't figure it out and can only do it by pressing the "E" button twice :P

If you still follow this content, I was trying to make a macro to cast Soothing Mist on my mistweaver monk for 6 seconds on a player, and after I've reached 6 charges to cast Zen Pulse at the players location. I tried using wait 6 and a few other ways of that and its still insta casting.

If you open your spellbook and shift+click the spell whilst typing in a macro window, it will insert the spell name into the macro. Voila, no spelling errors

For me, this seems to work: /cast [mod:alt, @player][@cursor] Freezing Trap And this doesn't (even though the shift combination is not bound in settings): /cast [mod:shift, @player][@cursor] Freezing Trap When I push shift+3 (freezing trap is on 3) you can see it highlight and get pressed with a flash but does nothing, so strange.
