I was just starting to think I was getting the hang of Blender, then I watch you and realize how much more I have to learn.

I get what you mean. I still have so much to learn too. 😅 Just take it step by step and don't rush it 😄

I want to mention that the settings you use for the pressure physics depends on the scale of your balloons in the scene. I had scaled my balloon up, and using the settings in the video it was acting weird and too elastic. I ended up playing around and found that 20 pressure and -0.2 fluid density worked for my scale.

Hi Guys! To create the pentagon, just add a circle and reduce its vertices to 5 and in Fill Type, use the Triangle Fan option - this is all done, in the box that appears in the bottom left corner of the Blender screen, after adding the circle.

Continuing... When placing the subdivision surface modifier, you have to click on the "Sampler" button and remove the "Optimal Display" check!

How is it that your circle looks like a polygon? It seems as you skipped a few steps up top.

That was great! many thanks. I wonder if its possible for this ballons to lift a rigid body within the blender physics simulation 🤔
@vibrant3d4242 жыл бұрын
I don't really have a method for that unfortunately 😅 there might be a way to do without rigit bodies tho

when I hit play it deflates and flops it doesn't inflate. I have used leather and turned the gravity down

how to make a 2d shape please

Amazing tutorial! Followed every step, although my balloon is not rising. Gravity is set to zero. Any idea's how to fix this? Thx in advance.
@vibrant3d4242 жыл бұрын
Im still new to making tutorials so sorry if it was unclear 😅 Basically, gravity to 0 means the balloon does not fall, but it doesn't rise also. In the final simulation where you want the balloon to rise. You want to leave the gravity at 1. Instead, you want to decrease fluid density: Go to the cloth sim settings: Under Physical Properties > Pressure, increase the pressure and decrease fluid density. The slider for fluid density is capped at -2 but you can enter a lower number; The lower the number, the faster the balloon shall rise. Hopefully this helps 😅

@@vibrant3d424 Thanks man, i'll try it ASAP and will tell you if it worked. Thx for the quick response, appreciate it!
@lonewolfart62982 жыл бұрын
@@vibrant3d424 I found a way that worked, with different numbers then you said. Probably because of the size of my balloon. Im using '1000' as pressure and '-1100' as fluid. It seems to work now, hope this helps the other ppl aswell. Thanks again.

Why do you not show unrapping uv for object like this? Where should I place UV seams?
@vibrant3d4242 жыл бұрын
Wasn't exactly intending for this to be a UV unwrapping tutorial 😅 You can put seams on the edge loop where the two sides of the balloon meet (the edge loop from which you extend the ribbon) You can even unwrap it before applying the mirror and subdivision surface modifiers if you haven't already Sorry for the inconvenience 😅

I'm stuck at 0:23 Can you help me pls, I have a 2D hexagon plane, when I apply the subdivision, it only make the edge became square but not subdivide the inner-mesh like your, I did press Shift + N to recalculate normal but it still didn't help
@vibrant3d4242 жыл бұрын
If you put subdivision surface on your mesh, it might be working fine but blender just doesn't display that by default. In the video, I have enabled "Wireframe" in the "Overlay Menu" (it's the same menu for enabling "Face Orientation"). I also turned off "Optimal Display" in my subdivision surface modifier

Sorry for the late response! Does your balloon "fall" or does it stay in place (it is not rising)?

@@vibrant3d424 It became a baloon and then it flew like theres a wind and then it falls. I already set wind to 0 too.

it happens all the time, just try the subdivision surface modifier and make sure u bake it
