You don't need to modify with those harness. I use double tape stuck one on the top of others to make it thick and jam it in the hole of the lock switches (there are two of them), I also remove the latch mechanism mounts on the washer lid. Every time now when it fills up water while I put the soap in. Easy modification. This modification also will not void your warranty.

@@HarperandKnowles My wife and I had a 12 years old Admiral washing machine. It was lid opened with running water while my wife or me to fill the soap, then after 10 minutes it locked the lid. This new Whirlpool will not allow to have soap fill while the water runs. This is the reason I have to modify the lid. I called Whirlpool, a technician recommend me to modify the wiring. That will be involved with wire cut. I told him that NO because I do not want to mess with this new one and especially to deal with the voided warranty. Then I tried with the method above and it seems to work very well. We leave the way it is from now!

My machine has a bezel that holds the door cut off switch in place and one of the ears has broke off. Any suggestions? Amana model NTW4516FW2

No, the water level is controlled by the pressure system which involves a pressure reservoir, a tube and a pressure switch. Thanks for watching!

3 wire Samsung Dryer door switch bypass

On this switch, there is one hot wire, a return wire (door switch), and a wire for the light. I think the center wire is the light but I could be wrong. I never made a bypass for one of these but I'd try popping the old switch open and fusing all the contacts together with solder. Or, trace which wire goes to the light bulb and eliminate that one. You could try using two male spade connectors and trim them to the same size as those in the switch plug using side cutters and put them on the end of the same wire to jump the hot wire and the door switch wire. It would be nice if you could find a three-wire male connector that would just plug into the dryer side. Of course, replacing the existing switch is your best option. Thanks for the comment. Don't try to by pass with the side washer door. Your accidentally opening will flood your home, :)
