I love the pose / layer 50% hack, ive never seen that. You just saved my butt! :D

Thanks for letting me know, I really appreciate that! It is not that obvious in the movie as the poses are rather similar, but it's really powerful.

I've been getting a problem were the feet change positions pretty drastically when pasting in new poses. I'm try to make an idle loop so its causing the entire thing to slide. I've managed to get the 50/50 method to work on a walking loop is there anything that comes to mind for what this could be? - okay i found out why it was because I didn't have the same transforms selected in the pose controls panel in the video 😃

Hey Matt, your videos are being of great help, thanks. I just was wondering (and waiting for) for you to position the character in a way it doesn't move on the Z axis, so we can use it in Unreal. Or did I miss something?
@MattCourtoisAnim3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jean! That video was meant to show a few methods to create loops, but not specifically for them to be used in Unreal afterward. Creating a video on how to kill the forward motion without degrading the data is a good idea though.

hey. You can follow the tutorial and than just take first frame as pose and apply it at the end with no offset... will not work great if there is big speed difference but it is usually good enough...

For the 50/50 how did you "copy/paste" the pose? what button are you pressing. Thank you
@MattCourtoisAnim3 жыл бұрын
Hey Robert! The 50/50 is a regular pose pasting with a twist. So you create a pose by pressing the green “+” in the Pose Tool, and making sure you have the hips selected, or whatever makes sense in your case, you double click on your pose to paste it.

Please man stop using shortkey without saying anything.. that's just impossible for beginner
@MattCourtoisAnim3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for your comment. Most of the shortcuts are previously stated in the video, but if there is something you or I have missed, I'll be happy to help you. Cheers!
