MonoDirector is a Brand New Bonelab Mod Created By ‪@adamdevyt‬ AKA As "Not Enough Photons" It has been in Development for quite some time and only been accessible to a select few of people, including me! The Mod is finally out for everyone now. And it includes a Bunch of useful tools you can use to create some awesome Cinematics. hey this video is really cool and helped a lot i just had one question i play on the pcvr Meta quest link app and the gimbal cam does not display what it is seeing on my monitor and i cant find a fix

This is a great vid, it really did help me make my first couple small films. So I use PCVR for making these films, and when I try to apply the free fly or handheld camera in the monodirector settings, nothing changes, and it is still my POV on the monitor, is there an easy fix for this? Also, when I attempt to clear all actors, the buttons freezes and doesn't do it's intended purpose, same with the clear scene button.

Im guessing you are on quest standalone? If so they cannot work on that platform, but if you are on PCVR then something mightve bugged or gone wrong with installation possibly.

Hey wig great tutorial. Im having an issue with the handheld cam. For some reason the gimble camera lens is clipping into the handheld pov. If you have any tips for this i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for watching! The gimbal cam sometimes has an issue where you need to swap the camera angles back and forth onto it to make it display correctly

Hi, the mod is awesome tho I'm having some issues with the recording. It's all working all fine but for some reason there is no countdown whatsoever when I hit record and it immediately starts recording without any headsup or even sound effects. You have to act it out. You cant change what they do after being recorded meaning you have to time a ragdoll on time with something like a gunshot

soo, when ever I try to switch to free cam or hand held cam, nothing happens. like, I see the screen on the gimbal cam but my monitor is still showing my face view. same with the free cam except when I change it to it nothing happens at all. I have tried re-installing and installing it in different ways and nothing works. if you have any suggestions that would be great! Also, great video!

Nope, you need to be playing on a PCVR Copy of the game. Standalone will not work with stuff like camera angles at all

Make sure your spawnables folder for monodirector is in your Mod.io mod tragectory and then same with the code version

Great tutorial, this helped me a whole lot with experimentation but I have a problem. for me, whenever I go to record a clone of myself, it doesn't show the timer that shows in your video. idk if this is because I downloaded it wrong but either way everything works out fine. just wondering if someone has a solution for it.

Pretty sure somewhere in settings you can set the timer length. Maybe yours is set to 0?

You have to record them through playback, if that didnt work then it might be an installlation issue

Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is awesome helpful 💪I have a general question becouse of a problem. When you take out the gun to connect actors with objects so that they can move them, that's actually how it is for me. If I then delete the objects or the actors to start a new scene, the mono director no longer works. That means I have to restart the game. The recording function no longer works. The playback no longer works. Nothing works anymore. Is there a reason for this or have I installed something wrong, I don't know? Can you help me? my problem is as follows. I have this additional tool for clicking on objects so that the actor can act on them. If I now want to delete, say, this object from the animation that I then play, I can no longer make new recordings. I then have to restart the whole game so that it works again. i.e. if I have a character that I let shoot with a weapon, and I tell myself I now delete the character and also the weapon because I want to make a new scene. That doesn't even work because if I delete the objects with this new tool so that they don't keep appearing in the new image, nothing works anymore. I hope you know what I mean.. it could be possible that the full body tracking mod that I used to make this mistake… because if I don’t use it, I can use this clear the scene option often before it crashed.

Thanks for the comment! Im happy i could help, this seems to be a large problem with MonoDirector itself right now. It has been happening to me. The only advice i can give you right now is that instead of reloading the game you can simply reload the map, still very annoying but it will hopefully get fixed an ill adress the issue to the creator.

Alright i figured out a temporary fix while they add access to these folders again in v65. Go to sidequest, headset settings, and enable bonelab mods. Each mod will be put in the external mods section

Try to see if you could find a laptop, a windows, Mac or Linux and download the mods from there and put them to your quest with side quest tell me if you need any help
