what constant light was that you were using? Or more specifically what how many watts? For it to cut through the bounced flash has me curious...

I was using a 500w LED. The FC 500B from Nanlite.

@@ClarenceChilanga-cs7dp Oh i understand what you mean. Okay so these new mirrorless cameras have 1. mechanical shutter 2. Electronic Shutter and 3. Electronic 1st Curtain Shutter. The issue is, with the r8 you can do HSS up to 1/4000s but only when using Electronic 1st Curtain Electronic Only you cannot use flash and that shutter goes all the way to 1/16000 Silent shutter is the same as full electronic shutter and you cannot use flash with that as well... I hope this helps
