I love that while he is describing "picture in picture", he is actually using it to instruct :)

Love your video Cristi.. as I always do, BTW, How do you you do your NEAT green screen (pic-in-pic you are using now)? Are you using camera or Webcam? do you record seperately or what? Hope you reply my question.
@Graphicious3 жыл бұрын
Hey Harry, thank you for your feedback! I am using a webcam and used to have a greenscreen (links are in the description for the specific ones). But now, the pull-down greenscreen was too narrow so instead, I painted my whole wall behind in 'apple green' or something, and it now serves as a greenscreen. I record directly via the webcam into Camtasia and then remove the greenscreen with Camtasia. Hope this helps!

You have a gifted way in the sense that you leave no doubt in your directions. You are very careful explaining how you do things, I wish everyone taught your way! Thanks so much for treating us to Camtasia lessons.

Another great video. Let me ask, do you use any paid services for images or do you stick to the free ones? I am looking at some options for stock footage and graphics.
@Graphicious3 жыл бұрын
I just use free stuff or my own. For the free ones, I usually go to Pexels

hi Cristi great video..i have a question..is there a way we can make a "jpg/png image picture shake..like to emphasize it being scared or yelling..Thank you..Respect!!!
@Graphicious3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can! While there isn't a dedicated effect for it, you can create a series of very short animations (1-2 frames each), in sequence, on the object or clip you want to 'shake'. Then you can convert that into a placeholder and re-use it over and over. I was planning a video exactly like this with the 'camera shake' effect. Same thing.

Great videos, thanks for making them. Let's say I have a video of a motorcycle ride. During the video I have a license plate on a vehicle that I want to zoom in on and enlarge the plate and have it expand (explode) in a picture in picture. I see now how to do a picture in picture, but I want it to start off like a box around the plate, then in slow motion, enlarge the plate so it is readable and show it as a picture in picture. It doesn't have to be a license plate, it could be a sign or an address or the price of gas. Anything that I can't read in the normal video, but I can if I zoom in on it. I hope I am making sense and hope you can make a video showing how this is done. Thanks for your great tutorials!
@Graphicious2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! This is a great idea for a tutorial! I will make one soon. To explain to you the process, in case you are stuck, you can use a duplicate video stream of the main footage, and either CROP it to the element you want to zoom in or use a media matte on that portion, and animate that as well as scaling the video. It should zoom in to show you that part large (depending on how large you need it), while the video keeps playing as normal, synchronised to the main video stream. I hope this helps.

But how do you create a PIP the same way you are doing your video? You are picture in the lower left corner without a frame around you.
@Graphicious2 жыл бұрын
I am using a green screen and removing the green background with the Camtasia remove color effect. Shown here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqLPmWOQi6qSntk
