Awesome! How does it work for a house with multiple room and then even a 2 storey house? Can the external elevations be easily drawn from this internal model?

Hi there! If you have several rooms, you create one room after the other & then you put them together, check out this video >> kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIe5YZl-iM6dnKc - as you add the first floor, then you keep going and can add also 50 more floors, just tapping on "Add floor". What about Outlets and other objects available in magic plan? Can we get those in IFC too

Hi Tomaso, yes, from now on it is possible!😃 Just download the newest update of magicplan that you will see available at some point this week (depending on the timezone where you are, between now and Friday). Then all the objects will also be visible in the IFC exported file. Silvia

Is it possible to import to SketchUp from iPad?

Is it possible to add a chimney breast within an already created room?

Hi Fraser, yes after you create a room you can add a fireplace to it. Tap on Add > Object > Structural > There you find 5 different types of fireplaces. If I have Magic Plan setup in Feet and template setup in Sketchup with Inches, should I configure import to inches or feet? I have tried both but keep getting error and failed import.

Choose one unit of measurement (feet, cm, inches… etc) and apply it to all your workflow. Por que as paredes ficam com as faces com várias geometrias? Não tem como deixar ela igual fica no sketchup com uma face só?

Hi 🙂 Como o processo de interpretação do arquivo .obj não é oferecido nativamente pelo sketchup, a geometria do modelo 3D vai refletir os triângulos utilizados na construção desse modelo. Portanto, você terá que ajustar o arquivo da forma mais conveniente a sua necessidade. O software sketchup possui uma engenharia muito própria, o que nos impossibilita de oferecer uma solução específica. Estero sue tenhamos esclarecido a sua dúvida. Muito obrigado!

Hi, Thanks for this video. I followed your instructions step by step but I still have a scaling problem that I can't solve. Indeed, a scale difference between magicplan and sketchup is always present (for example 2.5 m on MP gives 25 m on SKUP). Could you please help me? Thanks in advance.

I tried to import an OBJ file from Magicplan into Sketchup but receive an error from QuadFace Tools. I added the QuadFace Tools and TT_Lib² extensions to SketchUp and restarted the program. Then I created a new file from template (Architectural: Inches) Then I imported the OBJ file from Magicplan and configured the units to inches. Then I get a prompt from QuadFace Tools: “Oops! An error occurred…” Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
