Ive actually warmed more towards D5 recently over Twinmotion. Had a few problems with Twinmotion on a large project so switched over to D5 and it just works so well. The video animation render times are so much faster than Twinmotion too.

I have been considering making the switch over due to Twinmotion having crash issues depending on material used. This video and comments like yours suggest to me that I too should switch, or at least try a smaller project in D5.

@@williambentley2 give it a go, it’s impressive. Little details like round corners to materials make a big difference. Render times are so much faster including video.

Hi both, love the discussion here! Agree with all points, d5's animation render times make it a STRONG contender for best render engine out there.

Thank you for the video, are you using the pro version of D5? Does free version has this many materials?

The natural light on the front side of the table leg (facing camera) on your finished render had a lot more natural light on it than what i could see in your good tutorial. did i miss something or do you know why that is? Thanks,

To give elements like this more light, place an area light out of shot pointing at the object you want to highlight.

Thank you for the excellent video! When you imported the concrete texture, it required many steps. Is there a way to *batch-import* textures en masse?
@ArchAdemia
@ArchAdemia Жыл бұрын
I don't think so, but you can save your textures so only have to make them once and re-use, it isn't too bad in the long run!

Thank you for the reply,@@ArchAdemia and for clarification. Switching to a new tool when I have several hundred PBR's imported in my existing tool, is a daunting task and this is very helpful information. Thanks again!

Is there an absolute beginner video you could recommend? I got lost in the first 90 seconds as you did not clearly indicate where you were starting from, how to import, and where your drawing came from. I don't have interior shots lying about to import and if I did how would I import it? you did not explain that.

Yeah for real I want to make 1 room with exact measurements and am an absolute beginner and have no idea what any of these tools do and no one seems to have a video they all just jump in expecting that I have walls
@phoenixstranger
@phoenixstranger 11 ай бұрын
@@Laurenlittl3 actually i think i understand what's going on here in d5 render. I thought we need to draw or create walls ,rooms in d5 render . But no. You need 3DS max, sketch up, blender like softwares and draw and create your rooms. Then convert them into d5 render using available converters in their website and open your drawing project in d5 render and voila , do make over your rooms walls furnitures using d5 render like it is your new Bride. Huh, so much effort... For just a room, we should go to sleep in terrace. Than jumping between softwares. I also wamted to makeover my room but its absolute itty bitty shit. I will not do this.

@@Laurenlittl3@phoenixstranger hi guys, 3D archviz/architect here, this tutorial is meant only for the rendering part, for the “room” you must have already modeled it in a 3D software of your preference, almost every workflow for rendering is like this, 1 software to model and another for rendering, which is why the tutorial expect you to have already your model. Your would need first to learn how to model which is easy to start, but hard to master
