@@LisaIrby what types of things sell on Redbubble v Amazon? I'm on Teepublic and Redbubble. Sold 5 things in 2 mths on Redbubble and nothing on Teepublic. Also when is it best to go onto Amazon is it better to have say 100 designs 1st?
@LisaIrby4 жыл бұрын
@@domarchie9558 Don't get caught up in numbers. You can have 10 designs on Amazon and sell a ton verses someone who has 100 and never sells anything. It's all about research and keywords. RedBubble is very big with fan art and pop culture. I find that studying the sites to see what types of designs are ranked helps. Also when you see 500,000 results for a search, you know it's a good keyword. You just need to narrow the idea down like I mentioned here. Nothing helps me more than literally doing searches and studying these sites to learn what customers want to buy.
@domarchie95584 жыл бұрын
@@LisaIrby that's been my challenge, working out how to research properly and niche down. I'm not sure about Teepublic but once I've loaded art onto Redbubble it's that quick put onto Teepublic I'm not too fused. You stated fan art and pop art for Redbubble. What about Amazon?
@LisaIrby4 жыл бұрын
@@domarchie9558 For Amazon, I find the widest variety of things sell. That's why I love it. I have sold in so many different niches from birthdays to baby showers, Holidays, sports, you name it. The key is combining niches as I explain in earlier videos. So instead of just doing a baby shower shirt, you do a baby shower 2020 shirt. Or a baby shower for twins. Amazon is great with everyday life, family, sports and hobby niches. Most things I put on Amazon don't sell on RedBubble though. I just kept uploading different best Amazon sellers until I found my main niche on RB.

If you can get trending stuff to sell on a sticker, can that bring more exposure to your store and then cause other designs that you have to be seen and possibly sell. Also, is it fine to have multiple art mediums (photography or digital art etc...) or niches in one store?
@LisaIrby4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. That's why ANY sale is important. It will put your shop on the map. You are free to add any kind of art medium you want. I would say test everything and see what works. I personally prefer one niche so I can focus on ONE specific audience. But many people have multiple niches in one store.

Hey Lisa, quick question for your or anyone!? I recently watched one of your videos about how you use a decent amount of key words for your title on Merch by Amazon, do you think that applies with the other sites as well, such as RB, Spreadshirt, Teespring? or Keep it short and simple? Because with sites like Teespring that is all you have is just the title and description, but RB and Spread you have tags so was just wondering if you should still put longer Key word titles with sites that use tags, thanks! hope that makes sense at all!

To be honest, what I don't understand is, people claim they LOVE AND WANT my designs in person and door-to-door on social media...but they make every excuse to NOT buy it. It's not the price, it's the timing. HOW CAN I COMPETE WITH SUCCESSFUL SALESMAN LIKE YOURSELF WHEN I GET ALL THE WORST POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS NO MATTER WHERE I POST?! They're either broke and want all my souvenirs OR they're loaded with money and don't need a damn thing. * Throws device *
@LisaIrby4 жыл бұрын
EXPRESS SHIRTSELF But that’s the beauty of this business. You don’t have to market that way. I never have to tell anyone about my shirts. They get found in search. If I had to market my shirts in person or to friends I would have never gotten into this biz. That’s why I do so many vids on research. If you do it right no need to physically ask for sales from people. They’ll get found by interested buyers.
@ExpressShirtself4 жыл бұрын
@@LisaIrby I realize that, but it never happens that way either because I'm not on the first page of the search; yet, I put very relevant keywords. Makes no sense.
@LisaIrby4 жыл бұрын
@@ExpressShirtself You're probably not uploading early/fast enough on good keywords. I'm going to make a video showing a shirt I made where I was FIRST on the idea. If you aren't first or early on an idea that has some demand, it's going to be difficult to rank and sell.
@ExpressShirtself4 жыл бұрын
@@LisaIrby You're right about that, but you must have a time machine to beat them to it like Biff did with that book in Back To The Future 2. lol
@LisaIrby4 жыл бұрын
@@ExpressShirtself LOLOLOL! No time machines here, but thinking ahead is key. For example, pay attention to popular trends, themes and sayings in 2020. I'm already making some Christmas shirts, but changing up the words in the saying or adding something so they are now relevant to the Christmas season. Using themes from the year and turning them in into Halloween or Christmas shirts always goes over well. The reason this works so well is if people are already buying shirts with that theme or saying, the algorithm will often recommend the Christmas shirt to them based on what they've already purchased before. This is definitely a game of creativity....way more than a game of being a top designer like so many people assume. You just have to practice. Trust me, if I had to promote my shirts to people I would NOT be doing POD. That would not be fun to me. I hate hard selling to people.
