Yes! This is what I've been trying to get in a haircut for my entire life! Thank you!

Literally same. Was always told we cant do that without cutting off ur hair 😭😭😭

And I too! Went to the hairdresser yesterday and she chopped 1/2 foot off my length and didn't layer it from the top like I asked. Funny thing is she just called me and told me to come tomorrow...she must have known I was secretly upset but didn't tell her. Now I'm afraid to go back to see what she does...🙏 The truth is yes it can be done because I used to wear it like that in highschool and not one hairdresser where I live now has ever been able to do what I asked. They just can't cut hair!!!!!

That’s my hair! My hairdresser keeps the length long and does short layers. In addition, she keeps the hair weigh light and not heavy. I’ve gotten so many compliments about my cuts 🥰

I love the top view that shows the overdirection very easy. I understand where my body position should be and where the hair should fall.

This is the look I've been trying to get stylists to give me for years. No matter how much I pay, I always end up getting what seems like, whatever cut they're most used to giving. Never what I've asked for like this is. Would it be acceptable to share your videos with them. Is that subtle or would they see it as an insult?
@naugler194 жыл бұрын
Sunny Day I’m a hairstylist and I would not mind if a client wanted to show me a video to recreate as my goal is to make clients satisfied and happy with their look. But I know not all stylists are open to clients directing the cut. I recommend you make a consultation appointment with a stylist and bring the video. You will find out quickly if they are open to listening and trying this exact cut for you. And if they aren’t no big deal as it’s just a consultation which is free and you can try another stylist till you find one who will work with you.

Thanks Sam! Not a hairdresser but always been interested. Have just done this to my hair with much contortion and grapling with no glasses a mirror and cheap scissors and it worked great on my long hair with layers that were growing out. I also have a layered fringe and it worked with that. Happy customer! Like my hair to have a bit of rocker attitude even though over 60 lol 🤗👌. Can't afford hairdresser and they closed anyway!

Can this work for thick wavy curly hair? I’ve been asking for this cut and no one does it! It’s like they are scared so they go basic and I’m disappointed every time. Help! How do I direct my stylist??

Stumbled upon your video today. Im not a stylist, just a mom stuck at home with the gray roots growing and in dire need of haircut. Could u do a video on simple trim/bangs we could do at home to help out us ladies who cannot visit our stylists during this crazy time???

Hai sam I want to know how to hold scissors and comb in one hand
@codename4954 жыл бұрын
Pinch the comb between your middle and ring finger, that leaves your thumb and index finger free to hold/work the scissor.

How would you adjust this cut for spirals? I have been wanting a similar shape and I wear my hair curly.
@britjj51264 жыл бұрын
I’m curious if this principle works on curly/coily hair too! Im thinking it would be best to work on wet hair and spray it down if it’ starts to dry and cut straight across instead of into the hair like he was🤔 I might have to buy a curly haired doll and experiment😆
@hackbattle42833 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure but I'm afraid on curly hair it would be poofy where the layering is and then drop. It would look like a layered curly wig on top of long curly hair. I think this cut will only work for straight hair but I'm not sure.
