In one of my last videos ( • How to Station a Line ... , I showed you how to symbolize a line to provide stationing, a common way of displaying measurements for infrastructure projects like roads, pipelines, electric lines, water lines, sewers and telecom. I was asked if there was a way to transfer the stationing to a KMZ/KML. Unfortunately, symbology wont transfer over from a line in ArcGIS Pro to a KML file. However, we have a work around that might work for you. The workaround is to create a point feature class with station as an attribute. Then we can populate the station attribute and then use the Layer to KML tool to export the point feature class to a KML. As a helpful tip, the syntax for the calculate Python function I use in the video is pasted below.

rec = pStart

else:
rec = rec + pInterval
station = str(rec) + '+00'
return station
