It's just hair. Simple as shaving it off and starting new. I started new a few years ago and have bra strap length hair now. People put too much emotion into something that continuously grows. You just have to figure out how to care for YOUR hair and keep it healthy so it doesn't break off. Ppl think their hair just not growing and it is, you're just losing your ends at a faster rate because you're not caring for it correctly. *I'm not referring to anyone who has a condition that stops or slows hair growth.

These aren't dreadlocks, these are mats. Dreadlocks is a hair lock pattern that can be brushed out and cleaned, these are knots and tangles that are going to garner bacteria when they get wet because they trap water and can't be washed properly.

@skylarjaxx2399 2 жыл бұрын
@@LeeLeeLeeLeeLee no no no locs DO NOT have to be permanent. They can and have been brushed/comb out. It doesn't always require a cut. In fact I took out my bottom two rows and redid those when I was 6 years in. This here what's on video wouldn't be worth it. They would NEED to be cut.
@kennyannprice2500
@kennyannprice2500 2 жыл бұрын
@@skylarjaxx2399 proper locs that are done correct don’t have to be cut. These locs are quite literally ruining this hair and creating split ends and horrible hair tension in order to matte them together. This persons hair likely isn’t salvageable because she is literally felting the hair and the amount of frizz and damage the hair will have once it is attempted to be combed out won’t be worth keeping. It’s like trying to brush out a felt piece of fabric back to straight

@@sinkvenice857 well matted and dreaded or loced hair is different. Matted means it's dirty, locs are cleaned regularly and quite habitually. But I'm not trying to convince you of anything I'm just saying what I think. I had matted hair right before my last year in high-school because of depression and I couldn't comb it out. I tried. I had to cut it there was no point in destroying my scalp for whatever was left of my hair.

This is beautiful. I got instalocs like this (crochet method). 10 months ago and get re-twists every 3-4 months. I've always wanted close-up footage like this of what exactly my loctician does but, she only has low quality footage from far away on her countertop that she records with her phone. I don't understand the negative comments here. Anyone can get locs. It's not a locking technique itself that damages hair, or that a particular texture is incompatible with the locking mechanism, it's the individual's lack of maintenance after the initial installment that will do it. That's not a comprehensive explanation of course but nevertheless, this is cool. Tysm for this.

His hair is cleaned weekly, no odor (scalp stank), no flaking/dandruff, no scalp issues. I use a locking gel bi weekly to lock each section and crochet loose bobbled strains. No one has had the balls to confront us and we had MANY compliments mostly from the black community. When I retire from the military, I will be starting a business in dreading hair for ALL people of different backgrounds.

I disagree, locs can form with any hair texture in the right circumstances and given time. This person seems to have wavy, medium porosity hair and they probably wanted to speed up the process. But most people who loc their hair want to enjoy the process, they've taken a shortcut and I'm personally not a fan of it.

As a brother with locs I don’t understand the distain for this method and the results. I mean if you hate interlocking because it’s permanent that’s something I guess but her knotting the hair is assisting in getting the same effect we do on straight hair (I don’t discriminate against hair types or skin color). I can promise my locks have tons of knotting and wouldn’t easily comb out as has been alluded to im the comments, but dreads arent a hair style and removability isn’t how we judge them where I’m from. Enjoy the locs man it takes extra work when your hair doesn’t comply and I can relate to that from previous parts of my own hair journey (curls why 😢)

I've never heard this song before (that I remember of, anyway) It is MESMERIZING! Taking me back to the mid- 1990's when my regular group & I would all go to the club & dance. We were a big group with an equal-ish number of Men & Women , so there was ALWAYS someone to dance with. I'm WAY happier now- to be a boring, cookie-baking, church lady now, with amazing, stable, successful grown kids & beautiful grandchildren. I wouldn't go back for ANYTHING. But this music has me to where I can almost smell the cig smoke & taste the cranberry vodkas & the sound of the music, & smile of my main dance partner. 💃
