Clifton, I want to thank you for these tutorials. I don't think most people viewing them realize how much time and effort it takes to put a professional tutorial together like the ones you produce. I am always amazed by how professional and complete each one is. Thank You!

Excellent stuff! Very clear information. As well as the Advanced Query Loop Block I learned a lot about custom posts. This is the best WP tutoral channel.

Great video, Is there any way where we can have multiple designs under the same query block?
@CliftonWP2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Each Query Block can only utilize one query card for layout and design. To accomplish what you are asking, you could technically create multiple queries and apply different query card designs to each query. Even if it is a query of the same content.
@Line49Design2 ай бұрын
That's what the Skip Number of Posts is for. You could have a first row of two or three large cards, followed by a second Loop with smaller cards containing remaining posts in rows of four or five, for instance.
@shahnawazlarik87982 ай бұрын
@@Line49DesignThanks, actually till this point it's clear, what about if we use pagination and we go on page 2? The same posts will again display on the second page since we already set them manually. As you know that each query block will have its own separate pagination, so it will not work like default archive pages work. Lets say, i make 3 queries with 3 different query cards and i added pagination in the last query block. Now this pagination will only work for the last query block while the first two query blocks will always display the same posts even on the page2.
@Line49Design2 ай бұрын
@@shahnawazlarik8798I suggest not doing that! 😊 When I (and likely Clifton) want to have a special row to feature just the first post in a site (say, one's latest podcast or real estate listing), I don't use Query Loop. That's overkill. I just use a simple block like Post Grid or Info Box to show it. Definitely no pagination involved in that row. It's easy to get tripped up by pagination in the middle of your content at the best of times. Best way sometimes is to keep your grids tidy and point to a separate dedicated archive page instead.

Hi Clifton! Love the Tutorial!!! Thank you! Im in the process to create menu items just like this, but I want them to be linked to actual products and purchases. Can one use the products and product catagories for taxonomies? instead of using the AFC plugin?
@CliftonWP11 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes you can link to products or product categories.

Fantastic, as always, Clifton! I have a question about the settings for the card created in the "Custom Blog Page" portion. Some of my titles are different lengths so take up different amounts of lines (eg, 2 lines vs 3 lines). This is making the cards slightly different sizes so they are not lining up perfectly / they have different dimensions. Is there a way I can force them all to line up or be the same size?
@CliftonWPАй бұрын
Thank you! Yes this is possible, however it depends on the container blocks you use to create your query card and the layout. You can use the Row Layout Block to set a 100% height for inner columns which will align all your containers equally, provided the content is in section blocks. If using Section Blocks for your query card container, then you can also set a minimum height for the section, which will apply to all the instances.

Amazing video! is there a way to customize the search page in Kadence theme without using pro plugins? at the moment the search page in woocommerce displays pages and post along with products. I wanted to customise to only display products. Do you have a video on that?
@CliftonWPАй бұрын
Thank you! The product search block will only show products once utilized. Add to a sidebar or a page and that should work correctly for you.

Clifton, you are awesome! I do have a question: if you wanted the dishes in a specific order, how would you do that?
@CliftonWPАй бұрын
Thank you! There are a number of ways to achieve this. The easiest way is to use the order by setting in the Query Loop general tab. Depending on the parameter you choose you can sort the results specifically. You you are trying to place a "dish" in a specific place, the best way to do so is to use the "Newest to Oldest" of Oldest to Newest" which is data based and then change the dates of publishing on the items to match your specific order. I hope that helps!
@LuneUnionАй бұрын
@@CliftonWP Changing the dates makes perfect sense! Thanks you! I was thinking I would have to pre-plan and upload in a specific order to use that feature in that way, but of course I can just edit the field. Any issues with doing so if the product is loaded by Printful instead of being added by me directly? I wouldn't think so, but thought it best to ask.
@CliftonWPАй бұрын
@@LuneUnion There will not be any issue at all if loaded via Printful 🙂

Amazing tutorial!! A question: In 33:40 you mention the content modification for Post Excerpt. Why I don't see it in my installation?
@CliftonWPАй бұрын
Thank you and I appreciate you watching! Make sure you are using the Dynamic HTML block. Once it detects that you are using the post excerpt it will give you the option. 🙂

And I have another question that I think the query loop builder might help with. I'd like to have my homepage display the equivalent of two archive pages (each scoped to a different subcategory) with tag based filters below them and the equivalent of a single product page above them. The archive like links would be presented on a horizontal scroll (similar to the Product Carousel, but with round images and not using the fuzzy 300x300 woocommerce thumbnails) and there would be a selected one that would correspond to the single product info being displayed above. Am I right that the Query Loop (Adv) and some other blocks could achieve this?
