I so much appreciate your max determination to tutor on kadence products. As a matter of fact, I almost gave up on using the kadence pro product due to its numerous plugins for different features. But I brought back my interest. Your tutorials remains the best when it comes to kadence. Thanks Please, 🙏 I want to build a fashion e-commerce website for my wife (she is a fashion designer and she makes dresses), can you make another detailed tutorial on how to use the kadence pro plugins for the project, pls? I want to surprise my wife I hope to hear from you pls 🙏

Thanks for being on top of this, Clifton! Kadence can really use help getting the word out on this because it's hard for a casual observer to understand how groundbreaking Ben's solution is. This new approach solves three big picture issues: 1. A much better header builder for FSE users...but they are still a niche segment right now. 2. A path to upgrade legacy sites in your portfolio. For instance, using a free default WP theme, but augmented with the visual builder. Great for those old Bootstrap sites etc 3. A way to make your new Kadence Theme websites future proof. Using the Blocks header and footer approach now means that when you eventually want to move your classic Customizer based Kadence site to an FSE theme, your layout will not break. Ben's demo focuses on the first point, and I think most Kadence users will not realize that it's the latter point that affects them directly. ❤

Clifton, thank you for the very informative tutorial! I have two questions about Kadence you might have quick answers for: What is the difference between Section and Row blocks and when would you use one over the other? Can you apply different headers to specific pages and, if so, how? In the past, I used Elements to create headers for specific pages and then hide the existing header on those pages. TIA
@CliftonWP
@CliftonWP 4 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for watching! Section and Row Blocks are both container blocks in Kadence. Their main purpose is to contain other blocks and help with the structure of your web pages. Row Blocks are based on a grid of sections or columns. So every Row Block you use will have at least one section block within it and organizes content in grids and columns. Section Blocks are stand-alone containers that have the capability to use flex settings to organize content. This means you can organize content within sections directionally - horizontally or vertically. There are no columns within sections (unless you add a Row Block to One😉). When it comes to use, you want to use a Row Block when you are creating a parent container and need to organize content as a grid or in columns. Use sections when you want to control the flow of content or when you simply need a container for content that does not necessarily need columns or a grid. Headers Yes you can apply different headers to specific pages. This can be accomplished with Kadence Element Hooks and you can also do it with the Conditional Header feature in the Kadence Pro Add-on. The Advanced Header Block makes it easier to create specific headers with header attributes. You can still assign Advanced Header Blocks with Kadence Elements. Another way would be to create a header within a page or post-type, build out the rest of the page and then disable the header for that page. However to be more efficient and have more flexibility, Kadence Elements is still the way to go. I hope that helps!

Clifton, many thanks for being so quick to post such a helpful and detailed explanation of the Advanced Header and other new blocks. I use conditional headers on one of my Kadence sites - to select a menu based on the tag or category of the page/post. The options under "conditional display" for the Advanced Header block are different from the settings for Conditional Header in the regular Kadence/WP Customizer. Could you give an example of how to display different advanced headers depending on the tag or category? (apologies if this is a duplicate - I thought I had posted this earlier but can't see my first attempt)

Great video, thank you Clifton. Though I think I prefer the tutorials where you actually build something that we can follow along with throughout and end up with a polished header in this case. I find I learn better by doing. My only disappointment is that the mobile menu doesn't animate the dropdowns when expanded. At least I can't see a way to do that in the settings.

Fantastic and very well done Clifton, thanks a lot. A quick one: when i create a mega menu under the desktop view, it is not reflected under tablet and mobile, i have to recreate a mega menu from scratch for the mobile version... do you know why?
@CliftonWP
@CliftonWP 3 ай бұрын
Thank you! The answer is yes and no. The Mega menu is a component of the Advanced Navigation Block so you only have to create the navigation with the mega menu once. However you do need to create your navigation for Tablet and Mobile if you are not using a preset. Simply add the navigation with your mega menu to the tablet /Mobile view tab, make a few adjustments and you are done. I hope that helps.

Hi, if you are using the latest version of Kadence Blocks Free or Pro, you have the Advanced Header Blocks and in the customizer at the very buttom of the Header section, there is a setting to enable the use of a Block Header. If you are not seeing that setting and all your plugins are the latest versions, I recommend reaching out to Kadence support as something may be wrong with your install. I hope that helps!

@@CliftonWP can give me a quick hint how ? :)
@CliftonWP
@CliftonWP 3 ай бұрын
@@sayhininh Sure thing. 1. Add a Kadence row block to your page and select 2 columns. You can select 3 columns if you want to have a right and left menu. Depending on the layout you want, make the lefts or right menu more narrow. There is even a row layout option with a narrow column on the left, right or both. 2. In the narrow column add an advanced navigation block from Kadence Blocks. 3. Click on select and then create new from within the navigation block. 4. Build out your menu in the Navigation Builder by adding pages or custom links. 5. Select the option for a vertical menu for Desktop. You 'll see it in the top left. You can also select the option of for the Tablet/Mobile layout. 6. Click the "Done Editing" button on the bottom right. 7. Use the Navigation block setting to style the menu to your taste. You should now have a vertical side menu.
@sayhininh

@@CliftonWP thanks a lot. I thought of this too, but biggest downside is scaleability with many pages. you basically have to create this layout for every page. i thought there was a way using the new global nav feature.
@CliftonWP
@CliftonWP 3 ай бұрын
@@sayhininh You can create it as a template using Kadence Elements which is part of the Kadence Pro Theme Add-on. THis will allow you to create it once and apply it dynamically to as many pages or post types as you like.

Thank you! Sorry for the trouble with your customizer. As long as you have the Kadence Theme installed you should be able to access the customizer. I recommend re-installing WordPress or checking to see if you have any plugin conflicts. If that does not work please reach out to Kadence Support, so they can look into it.
