Love the templates!! I always copy/paste a bunch, like 3-5, and pull little things from each that I might like to make sure I'm being careful with imitation vs. inspiration when I'm creating something I'm selling, but they give great ideas!

Hi Katie- I've been selling on TPT and Boom for a year, and just used Canva to create a preview video for a TPT product. I found that I could insert music into the video, which really made it more engaging, I think. I'm searching for information on whether any credit needs to be given when using Canva or any elements in it, like the music. I'm not selling the video, as I said, but just using it to market/ preview my product I'm selling, which is a Boom Deck. Thanks for any input you can provide!

From what I understand, if it's a free element and not from Canva Pro then you can use it no problem, but I would double check by just writing in to [e-mail] -- they'll give you the most accurate info!

Hi Katie. I am about to finish my free upload. But, since it is a Google Slides activity, I am having a problem trying to find out how to include a blank slide for the students. Do I just add a new slide and keep it blank? or do I need to do some sort of link to add a new Google Slide file? I hope this makes sense.

One of the best ways to find in-demand resources on TPT is the TPT search bar itself. You can search for any topic or any kind of resources and you will see which products sell well and which ones don't. Every niche has a certain demand but you'll have to do market research do find out which products sell within your niche. Good luck with your market research!

Hi! If I pay for Canva pro can I use all of the resources on my products that I create for TPT? Or do I need to use the free version items due to copy right?

The short answer would be to use the free version items. I recently contacted Canva support about this and I'm actually planning to release a new video about that so stay tuned for that one!

To expand on this a bit -- of course this isn't professional or legal advice, but just from my personal experience -- I recently reached out to Canva and got an update that you can only sell digital resources like slides/workbooks that use pro elements if you sell them as a template link so only other teachers who also have Canva Pro can access them. So basically if you want to sell them as pdfs then use ONLY free elements or elements, fonts, etc. that you've purchased a license for.

Basically I JUST want to use some two photos of kids from Canva pro to make the thumbnail for my TpT product (nothing inside the product will use anything from Canva). Should I be getting a Canva Pro subscription and use this or are you saying that essentially I cannot use any pro elements to make a thumbnail because it would be used for digital downloads? I know you don't speak for them so I will take it with a grain of salt - from your experience - but I just spent so much time on their TOU page and still feel confused. I would just like to add a few "real life" photos of kids pointing - so it is like they are pointing to my product on just the thumbnail. I don't think i see any free photos... please point me in the right direction as I feel like I am wasting sooooo much time trying to research this haha! Thanks:) @@KatieGettysCoaching
