I, too, use a piece of foil- covered cardboard with a large flat paper clip to anchor my card both to emboss and watercolor. A wooden chopstick holds my card while I emboss and I don't melt my manicure. I cut the cardboard about 8" x7".

Use the new Purple tape from Thermoweb. It is low tack and you can reposition it if needed. It won’t tear your paper or leave residue. They just released it yesterday. It is a crafters dream. Just st wanted to share.

There is a battery inside the box that is beeping. It needs to be replaced. You can get one at the Verizon store. I have replaced 2 of them. It won't stop beeping until you do. The box snaps open and you will be able to pull out the bad battery and a Put in the new one. If I lived closer I would pop over and do it for you.

If you use a cardboard covered in aluminum foil, the foil reflects the Heat and speeds up the process
