Thank you for breaking down the steps to create a French tip. I wish you would do the same thing, but on a shorter nail, and maybe not as deep a smile. Happy day to you all 😊💜

Good visual for beginners. I find it so much easier and quicker to use the brush of the polish to try and get it as neat as I can and then use a small square nail art brush slightly dampened with alcohol/wipe off solution to swipe any mess and get the smile perfect.

My drafting instructor always told us the best way to make a straight line freehanded was to put ur pencil at ur starting point but look at the finish point... Works every time! 😉

Kirsty that was blooming marvellous, I've been a nail tech for donkeys years & I gave up trying to do the '' perfect smile lines '' years ago, haha & I mean many years ago, I just cant do French nails. Its always been my weak area in nails, so I gave up, but I'm inspired again because of what you've just shown, its such a great idea, so I'm going have another go, keep those fingers X'd misses. Thanks hun Xv

I used to use a dotted tool and it was easy to get a good smile, but I use a smal detailed brush now, it would be helpful if Kirsty would do a smile with normal polish as I struggle and refuse to do them, but would like a good explanation of how to do it. Its easier with gel as you've got time but with polish u haven't.

Mix some gel with your polish,try a little and see how you like it.

Why? I'm genuinely curious. Is it because a person's nails are connected to a person's hand and arm? What can I say? Wrists turn, fingers break. ;-P jk, obvi.

Kirsty. I'm not no nail technician only what I've learnt from you(simply the best) doing these tubes..... My reason for learning is that my daughter 17 yr want' s her nail done all the time, "might i say is quite expensive all the time" and that's just plain old acrylics..... So hence me doing them for her myself..... Any way, my question it's????? What is the kindest way for her natural nails...... It's it tips with overlay? Or sculpting? I've ordered me forms to have a go at doing a Kirsty meakin sculpting nail...... "Well I'll have a try that is" in some fashion...... Hehehe😁😁😁😁😁

can anyone help me ...when i apply gelpolish i always get a little bevel edge around the nail of the gel polish it seems... what am i doing wring?
@WorthyMissJ6 жыл бұрын
Cap your edge first, then fill in. If you cap your edges last and then cure, they don't settle with the rest of the product, leaving a ridge around the edge of the nail. Also, be sure you have completely prepped the ENTIRE nail - bed, cuticle, any tip you've applied needs at least a thorough buffing and blending, cleanse, dehydration, primer... Then, work on your base, color/polish and top coat. If even one step is off, it'll sometimes cause rolling/edge ridges/lifting. And, remember, gel hates dust and moisture!
@patriciagallacher67416 жыл бұрын
The nail hub had a good video on gel application that may help. Instead of pulling the polish over the tip turn your brush around and cover the tip going from tip to near the cuticle. Or if its gel top coat before curing you can wipe away the excess gel polish before curing, seen Liz acrylic nails do this a lot. Let me know how you get on.
@amandajingleheimerschmidt89866 жыл бұрын
Hi Kirsty: If you and Adam are still taking questions for the Q & A video, here’s one... When you reacted to your BirdBox challenge video, you cringed at how much acrylic got on your hands and mentioned that it was super bad for your skin. My question is why is it okay for pedicureists to get it on your skin when they build an extension on or repair a toenail?? Try watching a video by Neo Trix on KZbin if you need an example. Thanks for your help 🤓
